Best wishes for a happy and healthy new year to you and your family.

An update on my status in case I failed to communicate it previously.

My position with AIG was eliminated last month as part of a corporate
restructuring and I am seeking a Business Analyst/Project Manager role in
the NY/NJ/CT region, preferably as an employee but I am also open to
exploring contract/consulting roles. My experience is primarily in the
insurance and healthcare industries but I am open to exploring other
industries.

A few of the companies I am interested in are:

- Marsh
- Aetna
- Travelers
- AXA Equitable
- Gen Re
- Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield
- United Health Group

Referrals to anyone who knows someone in one of these companies or any
medium to large company would be greatly appreciated. Any other information
or suggestions are also very welcome.

Thank you.

Happy New Year !

Georgetown University report on Jobs & Educational
requirements<http://lioncubjobsearch.blogspot.com/2010/12/georgetown-university-report-on-jobs.html>

A big question mark on the minds of many is: Where will the jobs be in the
not to distant future and what education will be required to get those jobs?
Georgetown University prepared a tremendous report (122 pages in all) on
employment, jobs and educational requirements through 2018.

Just one of several important paragraphs in the report:

"The implications of this shift represent a sea of change in American
society. Essentially, postsecondary education or training has become the
threshold requirement for access to middle-class status and earnings in good
times and bad. It is no longer the preferred pathway to middle-class jobsit
is, increasingly, the only pathway."

To read the report, click

One of the conclusions of the report, not surprisingly, is that technology
is the future. In order to find career success, we must correctly follow the
trends in order to be best prepared. Reports like this certainly help us
along that road.
