Position Summary:

The Equity Trading team is seeking a senior software engineer to be an
integral member of the development team responsible for developing the Firm'
s next generation Equity Trading System.

Key Responsibilities;

As a senior member of this team, the individual will have the following
responsibilities:

· Technical design, implementation, deployment, and support of the
Equity Trading systems
· Partner with Business Analysts to review and implement business
requirements
· Partner with Project Managers, Technical and QA Leads on
estimates, statuses, identify issues and raise risks
· Stay current with evolving Trading industry and technical trends
to ensure systems and team are of highest caliber

Keys to this Position:

1. This is a strong hands-on client side developer with Microsoft
technologies.
2. Technical requirement: .Net version 3.5 or greater, C#, GUI client
application developer (not web developer). WPF, WCF, Winforms is a plus.
We are looking for a GUI application developer, not a website developer.
3. Financial Services, Trading Systems, or similar experience is a big
plus.
4. Must come out of an environment that has similar complexities to
building trading systems applications. High volume – Complex – Mission
Critical
5. You are looking for the ability to grow and take on complicated tasks

Required Skills and Competencies:

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and proven
ability to design and deliver solutions relevant to complex business
problems.

· Four years of .net development experience using C#
· Solid experience with the .Net frameworks version 3.5+
· WPF or WCF is considered a strong plus
· Strong analysis, design and modeling skills
· Strong knowledge and experience with message technologies (e.g.
MSMQ, ActiveMQ)
· Oracle – Middleware - Java backend work a plus
· Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies and
their effective application
· Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced,
team-oriented environment supporting a business-critical production
environment
· Computer Science degree or related field

Position Responsibilities – Summary

The Equity Trading team is seeking a Senior or Core QA engineer (position
dependent on the experience) to be an integral member of the QA team
responsible for the testing efforts for the new Equity Trading platform that
is currently being developed.

Key Responsibilities;

· Participate in the development of the testing strategy based on
the application requirements for the new Equity Trading platform
· Develop and execute test cases for the new system
· Develop automation and performance scripts
· Work with the Project Managers and the Technical Leads to provide
them estimates, statuses, identify issues and risks.
· Stay current with the QA best practices, methodologies and
technologies.

Key to this Position:

1. 5 plus years of QA experience with strengths that include performance
and functional testing. The candidate should have automated experience with
QTP.
2. Financial services is required. Experience with Trading Systems is a
strong plus.
3. We are looking for a candidate that has leadership potential that can
grow into a lead role over time.
4. The individual will work on a team of 5 to 7 QA Engineers that will grow
to 10 plus next year.

Required Skills and Competencies:

· Five plus years experience in development, analysis or QA
· Knowledge with all aspects of testing, including functional,
structural, regression, load and performance testing
· Knowledge of the QA tools such as QC, QTP and Load runner
· Interest in pursuing a career in the QA engineering practice
· Ability to work with a team of offshore and onshore-based vendor
QA resources
· Knowledge of the Agile development and project management
processes
· Ability to diagnose and identify performance and stability issues
in large, complex applications
· Knowledge of Linux, Oracle database and SQL

Position Responsibilities – Summary
The Sr. Telecom Engineer is part of a team that administers, supports and
maintains the firm's Avaya infrastructure. This position requires advanced
knowledge of VoIP principles in order to support their converged
voice/data-networking environment. The Telco's goal is to provide excellent
customer service by ensuring the Avaya infrastructure is up-to-date, meeting
best Avaya practices, outages are remediated quickly and the proper
monitoring alerts/metrics are established.
Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain a global complex Avaya environment comprised of a Call
Management System, OneX mobile, OneX portal, Meeting Exchange and a variety
of highly available Telco infrastructure.
· Manage voice projects (both hardware and software) – typically
related to upgrades, expansion or enhancements of existing Avaya
environment.
· Make sure the Avaya platform adheres to ITIL practices with any
changes, upgrades, fixes, etc.
· Participate in an 24x7 on-call rotation
· Troubleshoot and identify sources of problems, working with
equipment vendors and telecom providers to bring issues to resolution.
· Monitor and resolve service requests in accordance with published
SLA's.
· Strong communications
· Establish and enforce best practices for telecom management,
including configuration, monitoring, patch/upgrade management and capacity
planning.
· Respond to any/all alerts/ alarms by investigating the origin and
ultimately do what it takes to resolve it.
· Coordinate installations and upgrades including working with other
Information Systems teams and minimizing the impact to the customer.
· Emphasis on sharing of knowledge through good communications, peer
training and written documentation to all support staff (ex. Help Desk).
· Positive customer service and team attitude (helping others when
required)
· Willingness to travel as required to remote sites during large
deployments, as needed.
