Web Designer/Front-end Developer

Seeking a Sr. Design Associate to work in our
in-house design department. Responsibilities include but are not limited
to repurposing print creative for web and email, maintaining/updating
existing website, front-end code writing using XHTML and CSS and
implementing site redesigns using design templates. Attention to detail
and working knowledge of Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop and Quark
are a must. If you can only use code generated by Dreamweaver, this is
not the position for you. Sr. Design Associate reports directly to the
Vice President of Creative Services.

Full-time Applicants Only. Freelancers need not apply

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
. Experience working in both print and web environments
. Experience working on and managing professional websites
. Experience creating HTML emails
. Solid working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Photoshop,
Illustrator and Quark
. Experience working in a Mac environment
. Practical experience writing cross browser, cross OS, W3C compliant
HTML and CSS, including the ability to write and tweak code for
optimization on older browsers
. A solid understanding of optimizing graphics for use on the web,
including PDF, JPEG, PNG
. Experience working with advanced web technologies such as XML,
JavaScript, RSS, Blogs, etc.
. A solid understanding of website architecture
. Experience with dynamically generated websites
. Familiar with ColdFusion driven websites
. A solid understanding of SEO techniques
. Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
. Detail oriented work habits and strong analytical and problem solving
skills
. Excellent oral and written communication skills
. Ability to effectively and calmly manage time in high-pressure
situations
. Ability to take creative direction through to final execution
