Reporting to the Director of ISD, will manage a staff of individuals with appropriate skill sets (clinical, decision support, financial, interface or technical). Responsible for assigning and coordinating efforts of his/her team, mentor staff, provide appropriate training opportunities, monitor performance, and set performance goals and standards for the team. Working with other managers, will provide input to department´s strategy, goals, issue resolution and other established processes, and work as a member of the management team to improve effectiveness and productivity of ISD department as a whole. Effective communication with other managers and staff in general is critical to success. Will manage his/her team to meet set Service Level Agreements and meet set project plan goals and dates. Work with Program Management Office on appropriate tasks, projects, and deliverables.
Associates Degree in a related field required. Bachelors Degree preferred, but may be substituted for experience. 5-7 years of experience in a related field and technologies. Valid Driver's License required. Communication, project management, effective staff management and motivation skills

The preference is that this person has managed specific network focused projects since this person will be working in a network implementation group.
2. Financial services experiences. This person will be working with different Business Units (Asset Managment, Commodities, Market Data) so it's important that this PM have an understanding of the FS space and the infrastructure that supports these business units.
3. PMP Certification. This PM will follow the PMI methodology so it is important that this person the certification and amount of experience to perform large scale projects in a high demand financial environment.Â
Description:  There is an opening for a Project Manager in Harborside Plaza 2, Jersey City, NJ. This person will be working on the Network Implementation team which works with different business units and help them execute on strategic projects within those BU’s.
The initial project that this PM would be brought on for is a Market Data Backbone Build Out. Essentially they are building out a Network Backbone (a computer network that I capable of carrying the majority of the traffic on the network. Large networks in other geographic locations globally will be able to connect via this backbone) within the Market Data group.
There is a need in the Market Data division to help make sure that traders globally are receiving the market data feeds in real time. The reliability of this network and traders receiving the feeds as they happen makes the difference of millions of dollars in trading profits/losses.
This is a 6 month plus contract. After this initial project is completed they will roll the PM into different Network Implementation projects.
PM’s should be comfortable with weekend work as parts of the projects will need to be done off hours.Â
