Top Three Skills: | 1. Has experience managing large scale infrastructure build outs/implementations. This particular project has a $2 million budget. The preference is that this person has managed specific network focused projects since this person will be working in a network implementation group. 2. Financial services experiences. This person will be working with different Business Units (Asset Managment, Commodities, Market Data) so it's important that this PM have an understanding of the FS space and the infrastructure that supports these business units. 3. PMP Certification. This PM will follow the PMI methodology so it is important that this person the certification and amount of experience to perform large scale projects in a high demand financial environment. | |
Description: | There is an opening for a Project Manager in Harborside Plaza 2, Jersey City, NJ. This person will be working on the Network Implementation team which works with different business units and help them execute on strategic projects within those BU's. The initial project that this PM would be brought on for is a Market Data Backbone Build Out. Essentially they are building out a Network Backbone (a computer network that I capable of carrying the majority of the traffic on the network. Large networks in other geographic locations globally will be able to connect via this backbone) within the Market Data group. There is a need in the Market Data division to help make sure that traders globally are receiving the market data feeds in real time. The reliability of this network and traders receiving the feeds as they happen makes the difference of millions of dollars in trading profits/losses. This is a 6 month plus contract. After this initial project is completed they will roll the PM into different Network Implementation projects. PM's should be comfortable with weekend work as parts of the projects will need to be done off hours. |
