A major Entertainment Corporation located in New York is looking for a Manager of
External Reporting. The Manager will report to the Director of External Reporting and
will help to build a world-class Financial Reporting Group as part of the Controller;s Dept.
Responsibilities:
Review and preparation of 10Q's, 10K's, BK's, Proxy, XBRl and other SEC Filings.
Implementation of SEC Reporting Requirements to various accounting functions.
Compliance with SEC Financial Reporting Rules and Regulations.
Preparation of memorandum drafts to support accounting positions for transactions.
Analyze draft contracts to determine accounting impact.
Coordination with external auditors.
Assisting in the development of a Formulated Accounting Policy.
Qualifications:
5-6 years of experience ideally including media/entertainment matters.
CPA and strong SEC Reporting knowledge.
In depth understanding of GAAP and FASB Accounting Disclosures.
Excellent knowledge of Accounting Theories, Methods and Techniques.
Education:
CPA is required, BA and MBA is ideal.
Salary is up to 100k plus bonus.
