Description:
Primary purpose of this position is to plan and manage the delivery of business systems solutions in support of business objectives and ongoing operations. This includes systems and project planning, estimating, execution and implementation. Individual will work closely with the functional business groups to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of systems solutions deployed. The position will also be responsible technology vendor/partner relationship management, service delivery and overall performance.

Responsibilities:

-Project Management of development and implementation of IT Systems.
-Provides baseline support of projects and systems.
-Provides project and resource planning.
-Provides updates through a close working relationship with key IT and business leadership.
-Reports in the IT project portfolio and indentifies variances in project performance.
-Follows the methodologies and standards for IT project management and implementation, which includes guidelines, procedures, standards, and monitoring for organizational compliance.
-Assists in planning, organizing and controlling of IT related systems implementations.
-May work with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g. host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technologies and tools.
-Coordinates the activities of the section with the client area and other IT functions (e.g. data base, telecommunications, operations, technical support, etc.).
-Acts as expert technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process..
-Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
Experience:
-5-8 years progressive experience in Information Technology.
-Knowledge at the expert level of current IT project and services processes and methodologies.
-Minimum 5 years experience in the project management with a focus on technology management.
-Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Information Systems or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.
-Experience working in/with Pharma/Biotech companies required (mid-sized Biotech strongly preferred).
-Demonstrated ability to plan, control and lead projects.
-Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically.
-Demonstrated ability to drive results in an expedient manner quickly gathering information and consensus along with making sound decisions.
-Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing within all levels of an organization.
-Demonstrated ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
-Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
-Demonstrated ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
-Experts in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Visio).

Position Overview - Basic Functions & Responsibility
Essential function(s) includes, but is not limited to:
The candidate is responsible creating and maintaining integrated project plans for program activities including, but not limited to, design, build, testing, and cutover. This entails working with task owners to create resource loaded plans, working with resource owners to identify and resolve capacity issues, facilitation of issue and risk management, critical path analysis, meeting facilitation, and progress reporting.
The candidate works as part of the RPI IT Team. The candidate must deliver in accordance with the program work plan and methodology, and to that end, must be comfortable controlling the timely delivery of program deliverables. The candidate works very closely with one or more of the project work streams and/or specialized workstreams and needs to perform in a matrixed role.
Primary Activities
Primary activities include, but are not limited to:
Facilitate creation of detailed resource loaded Master Program and Project Schedule
Maintenance of detailed resource loaded Master Program and Project Schedule
Gather, validate and update scheduling information from multiple sources and tracking mechanisms
Monitor deliverable progress and escalate schedule risks including resource capacity and delivery progress issues
Facilitate regular reviews of team performance against plan and provide appropriate feedback
Ensure risks and issues are quickly addressed, documented and resolved
Prepare project progress reports for the Global PMO, team leads and other key stakeholders
Run standard reports for schedule tracking and resource leveling on a weekly basis.
Conduct critical path analysis
Skills (include specific skill levels required to apply Client Leadership Principles)
Bachelors degree required, and a minimum of seven (7) years relevant work experience
Working knowledge of project planning, management, and control methods
Advanced proficiency with MS-Project or comparable project management software
Proven ability to effectively build, lead and manage team in a highly matrixed environment
Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry and validated software environments desired

We are looking for a LIMS Analyst to configure the Nautilus LIMS to meet end-user needs, process system change control, configure documents, write test plans and train users.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

-Coordinating the needs of functional departments and establishes priorities for LIMS requirements gathering, system design and implementation.
-Complex LIMS configuration to meet end user requirements for LIMS users.
-Responsible for LIMS documentation, including, converting User Requirement Specifications to a Detail Design Specification, writing configuration Test Plans and summary reports.
-Configures reports (tabular, trend and labels).
-Process LIMS change control requests.
-Review of company documentation including SOPs, SPECs, Batchsheets and/or Manufacturing Records to assess LIMS impact.
-Works with Validation department to ensure LIMS is implemented following development life cycle approach.
-Trains end-users and/or other LIMS trainers.
-Coordinates with Rensselaer LIMS team members to implement the system in an efficient manner.
-Provides end-user support for the LIMS including troubleshooting problems at the application sever level.
-Add, modifies, and removes users from the LIMS.
