Position: IT Project Manager – Financial Systems
Location: SOMERS, NY
Duration: 6+ months
Responsible for managing the completion of integration projects. Oversees all aspects of the project(s): creates project plans, gathers business and technical requirements, manages timelines, resources, and budget, and summarizes progress of project.
Requires at least 4-6 years of experience in project management. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The position requires an advanced skill level in the following competencies:
• Facilitate discussions to define detailed requirements and business processes, create project timelines, and manage budgets and resources.
• Deploy, interface, enhance and guide data conversion and systems retirement activities expected with a M&A driven project
• Lead cross team efforts to resolve complex technology issues
• Track project progress, address issues, identify and mitigate risks
• Build relationships with peers, business partners, and vendors
• Navigate change request prioritization and negotiation
• Execute formal project management methodology\
• Assemble and deliver written and verbal communications
• Ability to work independently and work on a fast paced, high pressure team ** This role requires an innate ability to multitask, above-par skills in managing up and down the organization as well as the skill of working in a fast paced, changing environment where successful dealing with ambiguity is key.
