A major financial services firm located in Manhattan (Wall Street area) is seeking a Senior QA Engineer for Mid & Back Office Systems.

Skills Required
Bachelor degree in computer sciences or other relevant field is desired.
        - 3 to 5 years of QA experience.
- Hands on understanding of QA policies and procedure.
- Hands on experience in Mercury/HP (WinRunner, LoadRunner, QuickTestPro, Test Director) or other automation tools.
- Fluent with writing test plans from Requirements documents.
- Developing and executing test scripts.
- Working knowledge of SQL, XML, FIX, C++ or Java.
- Working with and assisting other QA Engineers.
- Interfacing with Developers, BAs and PMs to get bugs documented and fixed.

Job Description
General: Sr. QA Engineer at client will participate and in the absence of a lead is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with system specifications. He/She needs to be very fluent with automation testing tools.

Day-to-Day:
Perform functional, stress, load, performance, and other types of tests as determined in the test planning process. To ensure that tests are conducted as per client standards. Discussing discrepancies and issues, when appropriate, with necessary teams (PMs, Dev, BA and Systems).  Responsible for maintaining QA Documents: the Test Plan and Test Scripts so that they follow necessary development and quality standards - focus on the entire template. 
To enter data conditions, consistent with test scripts, while executing test cycles.  Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports and test metrics to project's Lead/ Manager. Resolve scope and other issues on a timely basis and escalate to QA management appropriately.
Develop, debug, execute and maintains automated test scripts. Also ensures consistency with the manual scripts. 
Report bugs and follows our defect management flow.

Salary:  $80,000 - 100,000.
