JOB DESCRIPTION:
 
The Network Management Deployment Engineer should be a subject matter expert with Cisco, IBM/Netcool, HP Openview and various public domain network management products operating under a UNIX environment.  Key responsibilities include the planning, design and implementation of various enterprise management products as well as deploying, operating and troubleshooting the product as required by the engagement. 
 
Will perform any of the following roles:
·          Hands-on building of lab model environment and designing demos.
·          Ability to configure tools, toolsets, develop test cases, configure and run tests, and document results.
·          Resolve most complex problems and compatibility issues, and manage service/project issues.
·          Serve as the technical specialist/lead for most complex deployments.
·          Generate standard project documentation including design plans, deployment plans, detailed test plans, operations guides and various networking diagrams.
·          Plan and execute most complex Application/OS Upgrade and Migration activities.
·          Assist with the deployment of most complex tool sets, scripts and related systems.
·          Develop NMS/OSS design and architecture best practices for the Network Operations Group.
 
The Network Management Deployment Engineer is responsible for the implementation of designs approved by the Network Architect.  This resource must be possess skills and be knowledgeable in the following areas:
 
·          Experience in Tivoli Netcool
·          HP Openview NNM
·          CiscoWorks2000 LMS
·          MRTG, Nagios, Syslog-NG, Cisco Transport Manager, Cisco NAMs, CiscoSecure ACS, CiscoSecure IPS/MARS
·          Sun Solaris/Unix Administrator
·          Cisco Networking
·          Experience in PERL, Shell Scripting and C programming; Java a plus.
·          Basic Web Portal development and administration (PHP, HTML, CGI)
·          Strong written and oral communication skills

                                                   Responsibilities:
 
                                                   Run, validate and explain the daily P & L.
 
                                                    Prepare daily commentary on P & L movements including analyzing P & L attribution.
 
                                                    Liase with the Valuation and Risk team to ensue proper pricing and P & L impacts.
