Contract NOC Administrator in NYC One year contract Day Shift

5 years plus experience with the following technical skills :
* In-depth Cisco networking deployment and support experience (including CCNP / DP level certification) gained within a large enterprise environment
* Excellent LAN/WAN fault diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, including in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, OSPF, VPN, IPSEC, Multicast, MPLS, QOS, NATs, ACLS, etc..
* Should possess advanced routing and switching skills with full understanding of the architecture within these devices.
* Ability to install sniffer software locally or use remote distributed sniffer like tool for full protocol decode and analysis.
* Cisco switch & Router configuration, administration, troubleshooting, fault finding and diagnosis skills.
* Hands on experience of some of the following: WDM, Cisco Works, McAfee Web Gateway, F5 load balancers, Check Point Firewalls, Extreme and Juniper routers and switches, Mazu, Gigamon, Apcon and NIDs products.
* Must have solid desktop skills in using the following software; Visio is a must, SecureCRT or Putty, Diff program of your choice, full Microsoft Office Suite and TFTP and FTP client / server.

Full Time Noc Position White Plains NY 11pm to 7am m-f

*Provide a technical point of escalation for troubleshooting for NOC Operators for issues/events/outages

*Serves as a subject matter expert in service, production, or support area of responsibility. May serve in a lead capacity.

*Mentor and provide training to NOC Operators on technically- related aspects of work performance and duties/tasks

*Facilitate training to ensure all personnel are proficient in every aspect of all operations processes

*Assist in the development and documentation of training policies and procedures

*Drive issues related to vendor faults and outages to resolution

*Be able to perform all duties/responsibilities of the NOC Operator position

*Assist the NOC Operators with their daily work activities when appropriate and/or necessary

*Provide surveillance of the Firm's WAN/LAN using all applicable NOC Network and Systems Management Tools

*Perform initial troubleshooting, problem analysis and isolation of network and system events in accordance with NOC incident management guidelines

*Quickly identify and analyze network events from network monitoring system

*Troubleshoot, evaluate, track, and manage network problems and recommend the best solutions while escalating to higher tiers according to NOC procedures

*Follow through and assist in troubleshooting after escalating to engineering staff

*Respond to network activities, as required-this includes supporting SLA commitments between network operations and internal/external customers

*Facilitate and coordinate the flow of communications between the NOC, PC Support, Engineering, as well as external vendors and third party ISP partners

*Responsible for providing high-level network and systems operations support for the Firm and Regional Data Centers

*Manage change tickets within the guidelines of the NOC change management procedures

*Provide input and feedback for the use and optimization of NOC network management applications/tools as well as NOC processes and procedures

*Work with limited supervision (sometimes independently) while providing clear, documented activities to include customer or technical issues

*Understand and respond properly to escalation procedures

*Inform manager or supervisor in a clear, concise, and timely manner of any end-user or technical issues

*Provide quality, timely and accurate end-to-end support of any issues within functional area of responsibility-this includes (but not limited to) phone, email and documentation/tracking of the incident in the ticketing system

*Enter data into trouble ticketing system in an accurate and complete manner to document problems including diagnostic results and multiple product correlation as well as escalation and repair performance information

*Escalate outage events and or impairments to appropriate individuals and organizations, when not resolved in the prescribed amount of time

*Monitor and track scheduled network maintenance activities in applicable tools analyzing the duration and potential impact to customers and ensuring they are consistent with approved times for these activities

*Provide input and feedback for the development and improvement of NOC communications processes and procedures

*Develop technical documentation/training material in support of NOC processes and procedures

*Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while exhibiting a personable, polite and patient behavior at all times

*Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident

*Provide administrative bridge management and oversight during network events/outages

*Perform handover functions to incoming shift team members/management

*Thorough understanding of DNS, DHCP , and e-mail systems

*Thorough understanding of IP network troubleshooting

*Thorough understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF , RIP, EiGRP, IGRP )

*Through understanding of LAN/WAN networks

*Cisco IOS configuration experience

*Vendor/Operator experience is preferred

*Network/NOC experience in a centralized repair/troubleshooting/testing environment that included answering telephones, logging events in a ticketing system, and providing technical support and repair coordination

*Excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on verbal/written communication including the ability to present performance feedback effectively and conflict resolution

DESCRIPTION: The candidate will be responsible for creation and
administration of 11g database in SUSE Linux RAC environment, proactive
database performance tuning, optimization of existing and creation of new
database procedures, developing and implementation database automation
solutions and performing quality assurance verification of various database
project implementations. The candidate must have strong experience with
installing, upgrading and supporting Oracle 11g databases on SUSE Linux
(SLES 9) platform. Oracle 9i and 10g experience on UNIX AIX, SUSE Linux
(SLES 9, 10) and Windows platforms is a plus. The candidate is required to
have hands-on experience with implementation, administration and usage
Oracle Real Application Clusters and Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid
Control. Experience with support and administration of Oracle e-Business
Suite 11i technology is a plus.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Oracle database administration, configuration,
load balancing, performance tuning, RMAN backup and recovery, database
sizing and space management, PL/SQL and shell programming, PL/SQL tuning,
diagnostics of Oracle 10g and 11g databases on AIX and Linux platforms.
Strong PL/SQL knowledge to be able to develop and support PL/SQL code is
required. Understanding of Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g concepts, theories,
principles and best administration practices. Administration and
management of Oracle databases on Real Application Clusters. Maintains
working knowledge of the IT industry and vendor market to effectively
address the development of database software systems and the ongoing
demands for enhancements to existing systems to provide efficient services
to business department and other database/application users. Researches,
evaluates, and recommends database educational material to peers and
management. Performs other job-related duties requiring the same general
knowledge, skills and degree of responsibility equivalent to the assigned
level.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information
Systems, or other related field. 10 or more years of related experience.
Working experience with various database management systems in database
implementation, testing, maintenance and administration in a multiple
platform environment. Previous database administration experience with
demonstrated ability and knowledge of various platforms. Good written and
oral communication skills. Ability to work on-call hours. Knowledge of

TITLE: Senior Network Engineer (up to AVP Level)
SALARY: up to 115K
DESCRIPTION: Support the bank's local and wide area network during core
support hours (6:00-18:00 Monday-Friday). Work with the Architecture and
Engineering group to create and implement engineering solutions and ad-hoc
requirements of the organization.
EXPERIENCE: Should have experience with the maintenance of a large global
corporate network consisting of multiple routers, switches and various
network equipment.
Experience with protocols such as TCP/IP, VoIP,OSPF, BGP, etc. id required.
Should understand and have experience working with carriers and their
networks.
SKILLS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is
mandatory.
Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years industry experience in a
similar environment.
Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the
application of IP protocols.
In-depth knowledge of and experience with major internet routing protocols;
specifically BGP and OSPF.
In-depth knowledge of and experience with major Cisco platforms;

switches and 7200 and 7500 series routers including all compatible
supervisor and line cards for these platforms.
Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills.

and OSPF and large scale network design and maintenance is critical.
Candidates should also have had significant past experience with, and
expertise in many of the following protocols and technologies: DWDM,
T1/DS,1/ DS3, SONET, (OC3,OC48,), 802.2/3, 802.1d, 802.1q, IP,TCP
(internals and flow control), BGP,OSPF, HSRP,IGMP, TACACS, IPSEC, and VPNs,
Netflow, DHCP, DNS.
Experience with mission critical multicast systems is highly desired.
Experience supporting network and data center installations utilizing L2
and L3 protocols is highly desired.
Strong UNIX and Windows skills are desirable CCIE Lab and Written a huge
plus.
This position also requires strong interpersonal skills, strong project
management and time management skills and a successful track record of
coordinating and driving issues to resolution.
This position will be located in the Harborside, Jersey City Office.
