Target Start Date: ASAP Level: Intermediate (4-6 years)
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
Responsible for analyzing business requirements and defining information systems solutions to address complex business needs (projects are technically difficult, requiring innovative and creative solutions and frequently involve multiple platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools); consulting with partners on approaches to address business needs or opportunities; analyzing existing system and programming logic to determine the best business solution; leading, coordinating and participating throughout all phases of the systems development lifecycle; creating functional specifications for use by developers and testers; creating logical data model; acts as an expert technical resource.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for driving business requirements definition and scope.
- Collaborate closely with clients to identify and understand business requirements including the exploration of viable options and alternatives
- Responsible for development of Business Requirements Document; Requirements Traceability Matrix, Use Cases and User Acceptance Test Plans in close collaboration with the business client and AIT peers.
- Responsible for consistent on-time delivery of quality deliverables in accordance with agreed upon plans.
- Develop expertise to navigate and engage the V-Model SDLC methodology within a Plan/Deliver/QA/Operate model.
- Endorse a winning culture with a repeatable, process-based approach in which all members of the organization recognize the interdependence of the Plan/Deliver/QA/Operate model and their role in effectively delivering for the business customers.
- Responsible for developing personal capabilities measured against "best in industry" standard practices.
- Seek input from multiple sources/levels within the organization and incorporate that knowledge into action plans.
- Continually enhance and share knowledge of the technology industry and the possibilities that new technological developments bring to the Annuities line of business.
- On occasion, fill in for the Lead BSA or assume lead responsibilities on smaller projects.
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES: - Bachelors Degree preferred.
- 5+ years of IT or related industry experience.
- Domain experience in Annuities, Actuarial or Financial industry.
- Critical thinker.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Innovative.
- Change agent.
- Strategic perspective with ability to deliver.
- Excellent customer focus, with experience working with matrix relationships.
- Strong Interpersonal (listening, written and verbal communication) and presentation skills.
- Skill at resolving conflict and negotiating effectively and tactfully.
- Ability to set clear expectations and demand high performance.
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams and individuals.
