Responsibilities:
· Significantly contribute to the overall architecture of the applications to ensure they are flexible, maintainable, and scalable.
· Provide leadership for the team, grow the team w/ add'l hires and be a central point of contact for technical questions and recommendations.
· Communicate complex designs and algorithms to teammates (both technical and non-technical); present strategies to corp management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Senior level professional with 8 or more years of significant software development experience; leading small teams would be a plus. Demonstrable current coding skills.
· Strong software design skills; database modeling skills a plus. Exp with a Start-Up req'd.
· Must have delivered production level code (Java or C/C++) in a commercial environment
· Distributed systems development (e.g. Map-Reduce) is a plus along with development technologies (e.g. Spring, JDBC, Wicket, Ant).
· BS in Computer Science or equivalent.

Position Summary:
Hands-on Senior IT Manager with extensive Windows, Cisco, virtualization, storage and, Desktop support services management experience. Role includes the planning, installation and maintenance of all systems and storage infrastructure for a mix of production and development environments. Technical acumen, detailed oriented, team building, monitoring, experience with building and execution of systematic approach to planning/deploying/maintaining of mission critical systems, and strong management leadership are key ingredients to being successful in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage all aspects of technology infrastructure including e-mail (MS Exchange), storage technologies, virtualization technologies, backups, virus protection, patch management, asset management, phone systems and desktop/laptop infrastructure.
• Manages team of Network/server group and Desktop services group now and Telecommunications group in future.
• Provide subject matter expertise in the design/implementation/support/ enhancements of Storage Area Networks, highly available systems, system performance management/tuning, capacity management and planning, server virtualization, and other infrastructure best practices.
• Setup effective desktop/laptop Image management and desktop virtualization
• Streamline the desktop/laptop software update/upgrade process by automating it.
• Manage and maintain backup and recovery system in accordance with corporate backup and retention policy.
• Maintains company Disaster Recovery Plan including testing.
• Daily, Weekly, Monthly backup completion reviews/certification and quarterly audit completion.
• Maintains company Disaster Recovery Plan including testing.
Vendor management for new technology procurement, support contract renewals and data center management
• Manage and direct staff in design, implementation, and maintenance of both LAN/WAN(network) and desktop architectures.
• Develop strategic plans and identify key success factors; set priorities and allocate the resources to achieve corporate, business and function goals.
• Research, introduce, and recommend new technology that ensures systems technology keeps pace with new products and industry directions
• Create a strategic networking, server and helpdesk Support plan/program that will support business information needs, ensuring the plan is developed as a cooperative effort between functional business areas, IT and end users.
• Identify and prioritize the critical IT business needs & solutions
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures as it relates to the organization and make sure they are being followed
• Project management, job scheduling and resource allocation planning and monitoring to provide status updates daily/weekly and monthly to Project Management and IS senior management.
• Monthly inventory update and quarterly audit completions
Work Experience/Qualifications:
More than 8 years of relevant experience required.
Education Requirements:
Employee is required to possess Bachelors Degree.
Employee is preferred to possess a license in A+
Technical Skills:
Employee is required to have advanced level skills with Microsoft Server OS (Windows 2003) .

Overview:
Chief Security Officer (CSO) who will lead operational risk management
activities to enhance the value of the company and brand. This person will
oversee a network of employees and vendors who safeguard the company's
assets, intellectual property and computer systems, as well as the physical
safety of employees and visitors. Physical protection responsibilities will
include asset protection, workplace violence prevention, access control
systems, video surveillance, and more. Information protection
responsibilities will include firewalls, network security architecture and
infrastructure, network access and monitoring policies, employee education
and awareness, and more.
This person will work with user and technical groups and internal auditors
in the development and implementation of a security strategy designed to
provide a high level of security over physical facilities and data
processing while preserving and enhancing facility and system usability.
This person must be able to develop and implement flexible security
solutions, dictated by the needs of a hybrid and rapidly evolving
decentralized business environment. The individual must be a
results-oriented person who can achieve tangible improvements in the
corporate security arena. Excellent technical and communications skills are
a must, as well as proven security leadership experience.
Role and Function
The Chief Security Officer (CSO) will be responsible for directing the
activities of the security function. Responsibilities will include:
. Work closely with corporate executives, business managers, audit and
legal counsel to understand corporate requirements related to security and
regulatory compliance, and to map those requirements to current security
projects.
. Develop, implement, and manage the overall enterprise process for
security strategy and associated architecture and engineering standards.
. Develop and implement policies, standards and guidelines related to
corporate security.
. Oversee the continuous monitoring and protection of facilities,
personnel and information systems. Evaluate suspected security breaches and
recommend corrective actions (including incidents involving outside
vendors).
. Define and implement an ongoing Catalyst Risk Assessment program,
which will define, identify, and classify critical assets, assess threats
and vulnerabilities regarding those assets, and implement safeguard
recommendations.
. Assist internal audits in the development of appropriate criteria
needed to assess the level of new/existing applications and/or technology
infrastructure elements for compliance with enterprise security standards.
. Establish and monitor formal certification programs regarding
enterprise security standards relating to the planned acquisition and/or
procurement of new applications or technologies.
. Assist in the review of applications and/or technology environments
during the development or acquisitions process to
. assure compliance with corporate security policies and directions
and
. assist in the overall integration process regarding Catalyst's own
technology environment.
. Oversee the development of, and be the enterprise champion of, a
corporate security awareness and training program.
. Evaluate changes to the corporate environment for security impact and
present findings to management.
. Identify protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with
corporate strategic plan.
. Manage the development and implementation of global security policy,
standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of
security.
. Work with other executives to prioritize security initiatives and
spending based on appropriate risk management and/or financial methodology.
. Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement
and other related government agencies.
. Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of
security breaches, and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated
with such breaches as necessary.
. Work with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security
audits.
. Manage security functions related to corporate information systems or
data centers, working closely with the VP of infrastructure and operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
. At least 15-20 years of experience in an enterprise security role
. Must have experience in a managed healthcare/HIPAA compliant company
. Must be an intelligent, articulate and persuasive leader who can
serve as an effective member of the senior management team
. Able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of
technical and non-technical staff
. Should have experience with business continuity planning, auditing,
and risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation
. Must have strong working knowledge of pertinent law and the law
enforcement community
. Must have a solid understanding of information technology and
information security
. Must be an excellent public speaker who can interface effectively
with external customers
