Skills and Experience:
*Candidate MUST have experience with IDBS BioBook developing and configuring IDBS BioBook templates for discovery clients
*Experience with In Vivo and In Vitro assays in the discovery space
*Experience in Pharmaceutical or Life Science Industries
*Experience elucidating business requirements
*Experience with emphasis on analyzing, finalizing and documenting requirements to support a diverse client group spanning multiple sites and departments.
*Ability to manage and prioritize work across multiple projects, with different stakeholders, simultaneously
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing / documentation
*Ability to work independently and as part of a cross site team with minimal supervision
*Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
*Experience with full systems implementation life-cycle following defined SDLC process

Scope: This one year position will implement IDBS BioBook throughout all areas of Drug Discovery (Therapeutic Area Biology, Drug Metabolism, Toxicology and Biotransformation) to streamline their work processes. The capabilities delivered will include IDBS BioBook data analysis, query and reporting templates. Delivery of these capabilities will result in time savings for scientists, reduce data management efforts, improve organizational communication, and provide consistent and higher quality data for decision support.

Responsibilities:
*Develop, configure, and integrate IDBS BioBook templates for discovery organizations following established practices and standards
*Gather requirements by working alongside scientists in the lab and develop customized IDBS BioBook solutions (templates and integration points)
*Document discovery processes and identify opportunities for streamlining and improvement
*Write detailed requirements and technical specifications for offshore development where appropriate.
*Document template functionality to enable transition to support via appropriate SDLC requirements.
*Document and execute IQ/OQ process for integrated workflows and newly developed templates.
*Develop test scripts, and incorporate user feedback into developed templates

JAVA DEVELOPER FOR SCIENTIFIC R&D

Project Description: Design and develop next generation scientific data analytics and decision support capability based on Java, ChemAxon and Informatica technologies for discovery working group scientists in client R&D. Responsibilities include development of Instant JChem User Interfaces add-ins and importing/exporting of its metadata. Additional responsibilities are Informatica extensions including importing and exporting of metadata as well as custom transformation and aggregation functions.

* Minimum 7 years Java development experience
o Building Swing user interfaces
o JDBC/Oracle Application Development
o Experience with Spring
o Experience using and developing RESTful web services with JAX-RS and/or CXF
* ChemAxon experience ideal
* Life Science R&D experience is a plus
* Strong skills in object oriented software design and development, design pattern/ framework and n tier architecture with at least 7 or more years experience
* Working knowledge of agile software engineering practices, software development life cycles and configuration management.
