Position Summary:

The Income Systems team is responsible for the all technology that supports
fixed income portfolio management and risk management. This includes the
project management and support for all in-house developed systems and third
party applications, with high standards of security and reliability.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Provide front-line functional and technical application support for
Income portfolio management and trading systems
2. Have detailed knowledge of all business flows, the application
architecture and the hardware configuration for supported applications
3. Respond to user inquiries, investigate and resolve system issues or
performance problems, escalate when necessary
4. Log and track all user related issues, defects, enhancements and
work requests
5. Debug, fix and resume batch processing or scheduling problems
6. Manage system configuration
7. Manage user setup and permissioning
8. Light programming/scripting
9. Maintain business continuity / disaster recovery regimens and
oversee annual testing
10. Application release management
11. Modification and enhancement of daily jobs / processes
12. Assist with application unit and regression testing
13. Liaise with internal development teams to troubleshoot software
problems and identify solutions
14. Overnight and weekend support, when necessary
15. Vendor management and communication between users and vendors
16. Adheres to IT security and other relevant policies

Required Skills and Competencies:

1. 5-10 years providing front-line application support for portfolio
management and trading systems
2. Solid technical background analyzing, testing, or developing
client-server based and web-based products
3. Strong knowledge of:

· SQL Server programming including stored procedures, functions,
views, etc.
· Visual Studio tools
· SQL Management Studio
· Visual Basic/.NET/Java
· MS Access
· Advanced Excel (including VBA)
· Windows Server Management
· Batch auto scheduling

4. Ability to read code and make small / simple modifications
5. Ability to create ad-hoc interfaces, feeds file extracts using
scripting tools or programming languages
6. Complete understanding of incident, problem and change management
principles
7. Strong initiative, organization, and excellent analysis/problem
solving/troubleshooting skills required
8. Excellent communication skills and written skills with the ability
to interact with various lines of businesses and support groups within the
organization
9. Ability to interact with portfolio managers and traders, understand
problems and concisely and precisely communicate solutions
10. Understanding of the portfolio management and trading business and
Investment Management industry
11. Experience with products like Perform, CreditScope, Everest, Charles
River (CRD), Axiom, Bloomberg POMS, FX Connect and GTSS preferred
12. Vendor management experience is strongly preferred

Position Responsibilities - Summary

The Senior Database Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for
ensuring the availability and optimization of our production, development,
and QA databases. The SDSA will assist in reviewing and deploying
development SQL code as well as maintain the refreshing of Dev and QA
environments. Other duties include documentation, database application
support and troubleshooting, as well as development tasks focused on
retrieving and displaying production data for various internal groups.

As a member of the Database Operations Team the SDSA will report to the
manager of the Database Operations group and will provide technical
expertise and guidance to the team as well as internal development staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Ensure that databases are available to end-users at all times.
· Implement enhancements and updates to ensure technology is most
current. Troubleshoot as problems arise.
· Provide architectural input and direction for our evolving
database environments.
· Ensure that both database and query performance is optimized, and
automated database processes including replication, Data Transformation
Services (DTS) and SSIS are performing optimally.
· Support Database service delivery to the business units, 24X7,
including on call rotation.
· Maintain ongoing performance monitoring and error reporting
systems as well as efficient problem resolution.
· Responsible for database disaster recovery of the entire database
environment that includes managing a timely SQL backup schedule to protect
the integrity of the information/data stored as well as off site
replication.
· Responsible for documenting the backup processes and documenting
the regular testing of all of the DR process.
· Assist software developers with database development projects.
Responsible for reviewing development code and ensuring established coding
standards are applied consistently.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Candidates must have a strong background in database administration. A
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field is
preferred. The ability to spot problematic areas, analyze solutions, propose
resolutions and direct their implementation is essential. Candidates must
have a strong technical background, strong written and oral communication
skills, project management skills, and the ability to work independently as
well as within a team environment. A successful candidate is a motivated
self-starter with an aptitude for learning new skills and environments
quickly while multi-tasking on more than one deliverable.

Core technologies/Skills (Expertise expected in the following):

· 5+ years of closely related experience with MSSQL 2008
· Sybase
· MySQL
· Scripting experience.
· Proficient SQL Profiler skills.
· T-SQL performance and optimization skills are required.
· A thorough understanding of database hardware design, including
disk subsystems

Secondary technologies (Mastery or familiarity with the following
preferred):

· Experience with MSSQL databases in a SAN environment preferred.

implementation, support and troubleshooting of a broad base of technologies
to support our global technology needs. The Systems Engineer will be
responsible for ensuring delivery of projects and leveraging new, current

· Overhaul remote access to the Disaster Recovery facility.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Candidates must have a strong background in database administration. A
