*Are you feeding your mind nourishment or junk? Today's article invites
you to consider this question. Read on and enjoy!*****
Which ideas do you surround yourself with on a daily basis? *Do those ideas
support your goals* or make them tougher to reach? Today, we'll explore
your mental world, which encompasses ideas, thoughts and beliefs.
We are surrounded by IDEAS all day long. They come from the radio, TV,
newspapers, songs, books, billboards, facebook/twitter posts, blogs,
groups, friends/co-workers, family, etc.****
Are the ideas you're surrounding yourself with moving you toward your goals
or making them harder to reach?****
*Allow me to share a story...*****
'Sara' sorely wanted to make more money and improve her financial
situation. However, there wasn't a lot of progress and she remained
frustrated.****
*Note: If YOU have a goal that's been tough to reach, pay careful attention
to this story.*****
I asked her to share the beliefs or thoughts she had or heard (even if she
didn't believe it) about money. One belief stood out. She said 'I keep
thinking that it's hard to make money as an artist.'****
Then, I asked her to explore that belief and notice if it felt true or not.*

*Note: We all have beliefs we've adopted from our parents, teachers, or
life experiences. It's wise to check in with yourself to see if you REALLY
believe the idea. Perhaps you did 10 years ago, but do you now? What
evidence do you have to support that belief?*****
She said she was confused since it didn't FEEL true, yet she wondered why
the idea would cycle through her mind several times a day.****
Next, we looked for the origin of that belief in her ENVIRONMENTS.****
"Sara, where are you getting the message 'it's hard to make money as an
artist'?" ****
An art class she attended regularly was full of starving artists. What she
noticed was how many of the conversations with her classmates revolved
around THEIR struggling careers. Even the instructor sprinkled in comments
about the challenges of making it as an artist.****
Do you see how ideas/thought/beliefs and the messages you surround yourself
with each day are like FOOD?****
Are those messages poisoning you? Or, nurturing you and your goals?****
My suggestion for Sara was to find another class to take. It was easy for
her to make the switch and the new environment (students, teacher) felt
much more uplifting.****
In addition, I coached her to look for other ways to steadily feed her mind
with uplifting messages that supported the belief "It's very possible to
make money as an artist."****
She started reading books about successful artists, found an artistic
mentor (with a thriving business) and learned how to turn her beautiful
artwork into money by taking a class solely devoted to art as a business.***

Which one FEELS better?*
The same is true for your mind. ****
*This week, please start to notice the sources of your
ideas/beliefs/thoughts. Just notice.*
Does the minister at your church share information that uplifts you or

Is the news media feeding you messages that inspire you - or do you feel
drained after watching?****
What do you listen to on the way to work? What might be better?****
Listen to your lunch buddies at work. What's their main message? How much
they love work or how much they despise it? ****
Which messages flow into your mind right before you go to sleep? Crime
shows? Books? Late night chats with friends? Stressful talks with a spouse?
Gratitude statements?****
What are the first messages you hear or see during the first 30 minutes of
your day? Do you begin the day with spiritual reading, motivational CD's,
or self-reflection with a journal? Or, the weather report?****
Notice the messages on the walls of your home and office. What do they say?*

This week, notice all of the sources of ideas flowing into your life. If
you don't like where they are leading you, change them by changing the

Overview:
The technology teams supporting Compliance develop and manage systems that are used by Compliance officers to control and monitor our adherence to regulatory policies, standards, and processes. The portfolio covers Anti-Money Laundering, Trade Surveillance, Control Room, and Position Monitoring functions.
Compliance protects Bank by:
** Advising on ethical conduct and identifying regulatory solutions;

** Promoting, in partnership with the business, a culture of Compliance.
Team is focused on strengthening ITâs partnership with its clients to establish and maintain optimized portfolios of work across all areas of the organisation, while ensuring IT continues to deliver strategic, high quality solutions, in a timely and effective manner. An opportunity has arisen to join the team of Business Analysts within this group that supports the Compliance Control Room function. The team is focused on defining and developing new IT systems that manage price-sensitive inside-information and monitor personal and institutional trading activity. The role of Business Analyst is vital to determining what successful, high-quality delivery looks like and ensuring that the technology teams have delivered on this. It is a highly visible role, communicating with employees on various levels within our client group and the other areas of IT.
Key Responsibilities:
** Gathering, verification, analysis, and documentation of business requirements.
** Data and systems analysis to support documentation and understanding of the current-state.
** Gaining client and IT sign-off of requirements documents and specifications by conducting walkthroughs, presentations, and formal reviews.
** Perform reviews and provide feedback on documentation produced by other Business Analysts, Architects and development teams.
** Work closely with the development teams to develop functional specifications and help develop technical designs.
** Ensure that development teams and management have a clear understanding of business priorities.
** Plan, script, manage, and execute acceptance testing - both UAT, with the client performing execution, and acceptance testing prior to UAT start.
** Plan and execute user training on new systems.
MUST HAVE:
** Previous experience working as a Business or Systems Analyst in a technology team in a financial services organisation (preferably a tier 1 investment bank).
** Knowledge of some the key responsibilities of an investment bankâs Compliance department (preferably including Control Room and transaction surveillance).
** A good understanding of business analysis (including knowledge of at least one requirements management / modelling tool) and with the ability to select the right tools / methodologies for a given task.
** Experience of writing test plans, scripts, and cases.
** An understanding of the technology product and project lifecycle.
** Any previous development, data modelling / warehousing experience would be an advantage.
** Able to manage a portfolio of analysis tasks.
** Flexible, able to organize and prioritize your own work to meet tight deadlines.
** Able to identify and interpret stakeholders needs and requirements
** Preferably educated to at least Bachelorâs degree level or equivalent.
** A strong critical thinker with creative problem solving skills.

Project Description: Provide IT owners with an initial overview and of the retirement process.
- Participate in the team-based portfolio meeting to review and assign new projects.
- Prioritize application retirement projects based on overall workload.
- Coordinate retirement processes across various IM teams (e.g. Business Relationship - Management, Portfolio Management, Engineering Services, etc.)
- Responsible for executing application retirement projects from initiation to completion. - Average annual workload 75-100 projects.
Project Summary: Applications Retirement Program is aligned to support the reduction of approximately 2000 application systems across all client divisions and divested entities. This program has 2012 objectives to support the retirement for 100-120 AS400 applications. Working in a highly collaborative environment, this Project Manager will be assigned a portfolio, or smaller portfolios of applications to retire following a standardized retirement process. There are extensive communications across the entire world and great flexibility in work styles and working remotely, as needed.
Additional competencies and skills of the ideal candidate:
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Previous knowledge and experience with AS400 systems a plus
- Experienced in the area of IT project management, portfolio management, and the retirement of electronic computer systems.
- Knowledgeable in applications and database architectures across all technology platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships across global IM organization.
- Excellent collaboration skills demonstrated in multiple team working sessions each week.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Good understanding of applications life cycle processes, supporting decommissioning, archive retention and end-of-life application disposal processes.
- Knowledge of Risk Management techniques and processes.

1. Oversee all cash management activities, including all daily banking activity (balance reporting, cash
concentration, funds transfers and placing investments/loans).
