FTE Permanent position with Saas client  in midtown  Senior Windows Systems Engineer
Target Salary $100-115 K  plus benefits, growing and expanding firm
 
We are currently seeking a Senior Windows Systems Engineer to manage capacity and performance of our 24x7 SaaS infrastructure.  The Senior Windows Systems Engineer will be responsible for the operation of the Microsoft Infrastructure (IIS, Active Directory, Windows Server 2003/2008, clustering in virtual and physical servers) and assist with network administration in an enterprise, 24x7 SaaS environment.
DUTIES:
•             Design, implement, monitor and maintain Windows infrastructure to support capacity and performance requirements during peak periods:
•             Install and configure hardware and software including OS, patches and updates
•             Implement monitors and alerts, troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
•             Follow procedures for notification and escalation of issues. 
•             Ability to work in a high-volume, SaaS production environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•             Must have 8+ years of in-depth knowledge relating to Microsoft Windows 2003/2008, IIS, Active Directory design/security, DNS, MOM/SCOM, Terminal Services, including hands on experience, designing, maintaining, and administering each product.
•             5+ years of experience building, deploying and operating ASP/ .Net Web Applications
•             5+ years of experience with a progressive level of responsibility in Microsoft Clustering failover and system recovery.
•             Understand VMWare and able to design and utilize its advanced technologies such as vmotion and other high availability features.
•             Experience with an enterprise backup strategy design and implementation
•             Must be able to create and maintain clear and easily understandable documentation for the current state and proposed state of infrastructure within the scope of the position
•             Strong communication skills to be able to communicate to all levels of engineering (management and development/test).
•             Must be willing to participate in operation team's on-call rotation and work extended and/or off hours when required to support 24x7 operations.
•             Must be able to manage time and multiple, concurrent projects.
•             Microsoft SQL Server administration experience desirable.
•             EMC SAN experience desirable
•             MCSE/VCP and BS degree in CS, CIS or MIS preferred.
•             Cisco experience a plus.
•             SIP/PRI experience a plus.
•             Nagios and other monitoring tools experience a plus.

FTE PERM position in  NYC  for  large financial services client for Senior HYPERION Technical Analyst/Technical Implementation Specialist
KEY is the INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT, install, configure  and implementations, not the applications side
FTE salary $120-130K
 
Seeking  a Senior HYPERION Technical Analyst/Financials suite :
•     -Installation and technical support of Hyperion applications esp HFM, FDM, Planning, Essbase
•     -Become technical expert on Hyperion application infrastructure and implementations
•     Ensure Hyperion is fully supported by vendor and initiate upgrades as necessary
•     -Ensure Hyperion applications infrastructure and installations technical and process documentation is produced and kept up to date
•     -Work with compliance and audit teams to ensure Hyperion systems meet regulatory requirements
•     -In-house technical expert on the Hyperion/EPM suite of applications
•     -Installation and technical configuration of Oracle Hyperion software
•     -Diagnosis and resolution of any technical Hyperion application issues.
•     -Lead technical application support for Hyperion
•     -Work with vendor on resolution of technical issues in the Hyperion environments
•     -Ensure Hyperion technical documentation is in place and kept up to date
•     -Liaise with other teams on Hyperion related initiatives and support issues
•     -Ensure Hyperion applications are fully vendor supported and initiate upgrade projects as necessary.
•     -Ensure Hyperion systems meet regulatory requirements
•     -Make recommendations on process improvement opportunities and manage approved process changes through to implementations
Qualifications:
•     -Undergraduate Degree preferably in Mathematics or Information Technology related discipline.
•     -Hands-on experience of Hyperion application installation and configuration
•     -Hands-on experience of upgrading Hyperion instances
•     -Experience with database technologies
•     -Experience supporting Hyperion in global enterprise environments; Ideally 5 years
•     -Functional familiarity of Hyperion applications esp. HFM, FDM, Planning, Essbase
•     -Experience with Oracle databases
•     -Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with Hyperion application installations.
•     -Good technical knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux platforms
•     -Working knowledge of other financial systems (Oracle Financials) preferred

Responsibilities will include:
·         New releases of the products from vendors require enhancements and modifications. 
·         Modified current database,  adding tables and relationships, defined constraints, rules and defaults
·         Creating views as required by front end developer for easier implementation on web pages, and triggers on those views to provide efficient data manipulation

Description:
Business Analyst – Corporate Applications
The Manager of Business Analysis for Corporate Applications will own the capture, scoping, and definition of new process and system capabilities within the corporate application suite.  The corporate applications landscape is broad and covers everything that is not part of the Supply Chain or ecommerce areas. 
The position requires an understanding of Scope and Requirements definition, Retail (fashion preferred), and how technology is leveraged to support retail business objectives.  Additionally, this role requires extensive experience with ERPs and how they are leveraged at a Retailer.
This role will work with business partners, engineering, and subject matter experts to capture and document functional requirements for new capabilities.
 
Responsibilities:
·         Analysis and Solution Definition
·         Quickly identifies and understands business issues and opportunities
·         Assists business partners in identifying and prioritizing new capabilities
·         Identifies system, process, and organizational strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
·         Defines and documents project scope, business requirements, software specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
·         Defines business Use Cases and associated high level test scenarios
·         Develops functional specifications and system design specifications for new capabilities.
·         Identify, define and deliver user training
 
Strategic Planning
Monitor and understand leading practices and industry trends and make recommendations to business partners as appropriate
Work with business partners to define the vision for future state capabilities (processes/technology/organization)
Work with business and IT leadership to develop the strategy to achieve the vision
Translate the strategy into projects and programs on the IT Strategic Roadmap
Technical Recommendation and Testing
·         Works with business partners to identify and manage required changes.
·         Communicates needed changes to development team.
·         Assists in the creation of project estimates
·         Participates in QA testing efforts
·         Leads User Acceptance Testing efforts

Understand and assist in the creation of project business cases
Assists PMs in management of project deadlines and schedules.
