DESCRIPTION
The CIO role will be responsible for developing a relevant, comprehensive technology vision; including data and information management, internal and external technology channels, and core application/infrastructure development and support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Planning
Work with senior management team to provide strategic planning to enhance continued company growth and profitability
Create innovative and leading edge technology and software solutions
Leverage extensive business knowledge to drive market penetration
Establish an IT plan that leverages existing capabilities to enable Best Practices across acquired business units resulting in improved quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability
Develop business cases and plans for the management of all customer related solutions

Responsible for systems implementation and integration, and coordinating and delivering innovative IT solutions
Responsible for directing and managing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of technology infrastructure and applications to improve the efficiency and quality of all business units

Design, build, test, and maintain technology solutions

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
15 years IT experience in Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Consumer Package Goods, and/or High Volume Retailer Industry
Success in developing and managing enterprise-wide infrastructure and applications
Strong background in strategic planning, business process engineering, and financial controls
Posses a proven track record of enhancing systems, developing business solutions, and optimizing productivity, processes, and overall workflow
Success in aligning technology solutions and objectives to overall business strategy
Proficient in managing and developing high-performance and diverse teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the successful Project Management of Global Indirect Tax discovery phase with potential for continued responsibility for global configuration, deployment, ERP integration and on-going support of the selected tax platform
2. Work with vendors and AIG as appropriate to establish and maintain overall plan and set project objectives, priorities and milestones
3. Work with and coordinate selected accounting firm and internal business, functional stakeholders and management to understand business requirements for global indirect tax process, tools, and subsequent implementation
4. Works with key representatives from Global Sourcing, Corporate Tax, SAP COE, Major business units, IT, Accounting vendor, and Product vendor as part of requirement and design analyses.
5. Tracks and communicates potential business process changes to team responsible for business process design
6. Understand and manages key stakeholders expectations
7. Communicate project status, key issues and results on a regular basis
8. Help define project resource needs
9. Coordinate project teams and manage critical path / key dependencies / issues
10. Help identify project risks and develop and pursue risk management strategies
11. Proactively identify and resolve project issues effectively
12. Ability to guide the development of pragmatic communication and training strategies, plans and material, as well as execute against the resulting plans
13. Help assess team and vendor performance to goals and provide appropriate feedback to management and project team
14. Help manage program budget
15. Works closely with the overall Program Manager and multiple vendors, including management and technical staff
16. Ensure the program complies with all company policies and standards
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience with tax platforms such as Vertex and/or Sabrix and integration with SAP preferably with large global enterprise
• Good understanding of vendor management governance and processes
• Good leadership skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good organization, presentation, and team building / motivation skills
• Resourceful and creative in approach to problem solving
• Flexible work hours / overtime will be required
• Potential for some international travel as deemed necessary

Valuations Controller – CDO/CLO
UBS is one of the world's leading firms in the investment banking and securities business, providing a full spectrum of services to institutional and corporate clients, governments and financial intermediaries. UBS's Investment Bank is headquartered in London and Stamford, and employs over 16,000 staff in 31 countries around the world, with its business run on a global basis and organized into the distinct areas of equities, fixed income, rates and currencies, investment banking and private equity.A temporary role exists within the securitized products Valuation Product Control group whose main function is to perform independent price testing for firm's structured finance product exposure as well as have responsibilities in the reporting stream.
The successful candidate will be expected to have:
• Expert level of understanding in products such as CDO, CLO, CBO, TRUP CDOs, structured single tranche CDOs, CDO pricing models along with underlying collateral like RMBS Non-agency (Subprime, Alt A and Prime). Strong understanding of valuation inputs, deal structure, waterfalls, cashflow triggers, loan origination process, liquidation process, pricing models, servicing, market trends, technical factors, government actions that impact valuation, collateral characteristics and their impact on the pricing of the security.
• Understanding of derivative products including structured bespoke transactions, Pay As You GO CDS contracts, Index products, Balance Guaranteed Swaps, model based products referencing RMBS securities and concepts such as model reserves, Day 1 PnL and their impact on deal valuation is also needed.
• Ability to construct/build intermediate to simple pricing models using economic macro and micro level data to allow projection of future defaults, prepayments, severities and other key valuation drivers
• Ability to develop alternative valuation and estimation techniques by using limited market color.
• Prior experience in working with the traders, risk groups and management in addressing valuation issues and others.
• Prior experience in managing teams of atleast 2-4 people and ability to motivate them would be a plus. Candidate should be effective in creating a healthy and strong learning working environment and adapt to different personalities and be willing to work in a large team of over 15 people looking at various products.
• Have expert skills in understanding deal documents, market research and application of the same on the portfolio.
• Provide creative and market based solutions to improve overall valuation comfort on "Hard to test" and illiquid transactions and securities.
• Engage with the group head and product leads on new business transactions to identify requirements and impact on the portfolio's valuation process.
• Work closely with the product teams on addressing PV, reserve and other reporting issues.
• Have an understanding of accounting standards such as FAS 157, FAS 166 and other conventions such as Mark To Market (MTM), Available for Sale, Held to maturity and practical application of these. Keep up with changes in MTM accounting.
• Ability to multitask, work independently. Willingness and capability to build a solid control environment
• Provide ad-hoc support to the Group head in collecting, analyzing and presenting data as necessary to allow management decisions.
• Ability to identify issues and initiate solutions
• 4 to 7 years of work experience in structured products. Quantitative background (Maths or FE degree) with some Modeling experience preferred.
• Expert level working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg and Intex.
