I am looking for a Jr. Desktop engineer for a contract to hire role
in Stamford CT. I thought that you or someone you know would be interested.

Please take a look at the job description below and let me know if you or

Since this is a contract to hire role I can only submit Green cards
and Citizens

*Job Description:*

Work within the existing support structure to document routine desktop
administration and support tasks. The environment is small enough that this
Desktop Engineer will be able to assist users on the phone, as well as in
person.

Execute approved purchase orders and interface with approved vendors and
internal purchasing procedures.

Create detailed and accurate documents for use in various procedures.
Draft, update, and follow best practices and standards documentation.

As needed, integrate and implement application solutions to meet users'
needs including remote application access, printing management, and
application delivery on the

corporate network.

Assist Infrastructure Team as needed with project support, rollouts,
maintenance windows and ad hoc situations

Local and long distance travel possible

*Required Skills / Qualifications:*

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Significant experience working in the corporate field, preferably in a
financial firm.

Excellent communication skills

Must understand and be 100% confident with Microsoft technologies,
including XP, Windows 7, MS Office Suite, performing upgrades, installs,
migrations, MS Exchange,

Outlook, etc.

*Preferred Skills:*

Experience migrating from Windows XP to Windows 7

MS Office Upgrade to Office 2007 or 2010

Providing networked print services on a variety of platforms

Installing and supporting MS Outlook

Providing remote client services in a Citrix environment

Supporting PerTrac Analytics

Supporting PerTrac CMS

Supporting Client Terminals

Client Kace Systems

Symantec Backup Exec

Blackberry/iOS support and integration

VMware vSphere

Desktop machine imaging

*Certifications:*
