REPORTS TO VP, Contract Mfg Management
POSITION SUMMARY Based in Shenzhen, China, the Sr. Director - CM Management is fully responsible for the leadership of the APAC based Supply Chain Team to achieve the following goals:
* Site Leader for the Supply Chain Team for JDSU's Communications Test Business Unit Asia Operations.
* Global ownership for Contract Manufacturing management and strategic supplier relationships.
* Responsible for management of the planning, scheduling and delivery of customer orders via the Contract Manufacturing partners.
* Overall ownership for performance of the Contract Manufacturers relative to Customer Satisfaction, delivery objectives, inventory levels. Responsible for establishing a supply chain design to meet or exceed established goals and objectives relating to these activities.
* Primary ownership for cost reduction roadmaps relating to pricing from the Contract Manufacturing partners for Finished Goods purchases. Must coordinate activity with Commodity management and Engineering to drive cost reduction activity to achieve goals and objectives established for this area.
* Manage Contract Manufacturer partners to assure compliance to JDSU policy and procedures. Manage adherence to contractual agreements and supplier relationship to assure compliance relating to inventory accuracy, global logistics compliance, pricing accuracy, and compliance to the required levels of quality.
* Execute Quarterly Business Reviews with the Contract Manufacturers to review overall performance against established goals and objectives - and to review the overall status of the business relationship.
* Facilitate weekly reviews with Contract Manufacturers to measure performance against stated goals and objectives, and to drive forward focused continual process improvement initiatives in each area of focus.
* The Sr. Manager will personally provide Program Management services for the largest and most critical contract manufacturing partners.

* Design and integrate new CM management processes cross-functionally within JDSU.

Overview
The New York Health Information Exchange (NYU HIE) is a private health information exchange owned by NYULMC? provides technology infrastructure, data governance, and secure transfer of health information between NYU affiliated physicians and NYULM faculty practice physicians and hospitals. Our mission is to improve healthcare delivery and quality by bringing critical information to care providers at the point of care.
Position Summary
The Director will be responsible for the overall success and operations of NYU HIE. This individual will plan, organize, and directs the overall design, development and operation implementation of the NYU HIE . In addition, the individual will oversee operations, strategy, financing, physician relationship related to HIE, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
· Provides leadership to the board and staff resulting in active fundraising and development of a sustainable business model and strategic plan.
· Monitors strategic operating goals, objectives and budget; and reports operational performance.
· Oversees and manages projects and staff to assure project deadlines are met, escalates issues for appropriate and timely resolution, and adheres to project management methodologies. Tracks actual project performance against planned performance, analyzes variances, and reports progress.
· Facilitates both internal and external relationships with key stakeholders such as health system executives, health system administration, physician practices, employers and key strategic vendors. Facilitates communication across key stakeholders to enable attainment of overall goals.
· Leads HIE board meetings and steering committee meetings, and creates and empowers relevant subcommittees.
· Keeps abreast of RHIO and HIE trends statewide and nationally
· Translates program goals and strategic objectives into work plans for staff and delegates the authority needed to ensure accountability for performance.
Experience and Qualifications
The director will have a baccalaureate degree and no less than seven years experience in health administration or related field. An advanced degree is preferred (MBA, MPP, MD, MPH, JD, etc.). The candidate must be a strategic thinker and seasoned administrator with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in the areas of operations and business planning. Successful candidates should demonstrate a deep interest in health innovation, possess excellent communication skills, and effectively represent the organization to diverse constituencies. The candidate must have a good working knowledge of technology and be able to oversee the operations of an electronic health exchange. Experience in the field of medical informatics, EHR, and information exchange technology a plus.

I. POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Business-IT Director will be first and foremost accountable for realizing the business value potential of information technology within the clinical mission of the medical center. To this end they are responsible for:
1. Ensuring alignment between the clinical mission and IT strategic direction
Work with the clinical leadership, Epic implementation and design team, clinical informatics and IT leadership to define the strategic IT direction for the clinical mission consistent with Enterprise IT strategy, architecture, standards and business-IT principles. Look for enterprise-wide opportunities for IT to create value for NYULMC.
2. Managing the relationships between clinical, enterprise and MCIT/Epic
Communicating the needs of the Clinical Enterprise to MCIT/Epic; facilitating the development of business cases supporting clinical IT initiative, (including problem definition, potential benefits, initial scope and cost estimates); advocating for successful execution of key business-IT programs within the clinical mission.
3. Product Management oversight within the clinical mission
Conceiving solutions within the context of Epic as the enterprise clinical and revenue cycle system and NYULMC enterprise architecture to optimize IT investments and return on assets for NYULMC; working with MCIT/Epic shared IT services organization and abiding by the MCIT Operating Policies, Procedures, and Process to ensure efficient, consistent, secure, interoperable and quality delivery of IT-enabled business solutions.
The Clinical Business-IT Director will work directly with both clinical mission and MCIT leadership and Epic teams. The position reports directly to the Chief of Hospital Operations and Chief Information Officer. The Clinical Business-IT Director will help Project Managers develop project plans, secure needed resources, detect any signs of material variance from those plans, and resolve issues outside the control of individual projects. This position will also ensure that the system will meet the business expectations and be well documented and supported.
The Clinical Business-IT Director is a strategist, business manager, and evangelist for information technology. As a strategist, the Clinical Business-IT Director will help the clinical Leadership Team discover justifying value for IT initiatives, collaborate to develop strategic timelines, and help with overall budget and resource requirements. As a business manager, the Business-IT partner will become familiar with all aspects of the clinical enterprise, Epic as the clinical workflow engine, and its usage. As an evangelist, the Clinical Business-IT Director will promote the strategic value of IT, maintain day-to-day communication with all teams, and bring transparency to business value as it is measured and realized.
II. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
· Leadership: An active leader, representing the interests of the clinical mission to MCIT/Epic and MCIT/Epic to the clinical enterprise. He or she is responsible for creating business-IT partnerships that optimize the value of information technology for the NYULMC. The Clinical Business-IT Director ensures that business strategy exploits IT potential and that the MCIT strategy aligns with the domainâs business strategy. The ideal candidate has both prior experience with healthcare delivery and information technology management.
Creates a culture of innovation through involvement and engagement.
Clearly communicates business-IT objectives, timelines and resources to managers and operational partners.
Subject to joint performance reviews from both clinical and MCIT/Epic leadership.
Maintains the IT initiative portfolios for the clinical enterprise.
Conforms to applicable MCIT common processes and standards.
Accountable for effective and efficient development and execution of clinical business-IT strategy and holds others to the same standard; recommends coaching or removal of assignments as appropriate.
Provides business-IT support to programs within the domain.
Abides within Enterprise Architecture.
Collaborates and brings teams together to develop business solutions
Leverages services from MCIT/Epic that can be shared across domains (QA, data center, middleware, help desk, etc.)
Seeks to reuse existing capabilities, especially with Epic, before inventing or acquiring new ones.
Seeks out solutions that can be leveraged by other medical set of missions or create synergy between the missions through integrated solutions.
Fosters collaboration and team work.
· Communication: A large aspect of this leadership role is communicating and setting expectations with the business leaders and MCIT/Epic. The ideal candidate will be experienced with healthcare technology and IT Operating Models, IT Governance, and IT Processes.
o Communicates project and program status to sponsors and stakeholders including reasons why they are succeeding or failing.
o Assists Program sponsors in establishing desired business outcomes and value justifications
o Facilitates collaboration and decision making between sponsors and departments
· Management: The Clinical Business-IT Director is responsible for providing oversight to all project managers running projects associated with the Program. This includes:
Works closely with the MCIT/Epic Leadership Teams to ensure customer satisfaction and ensures that issues are addressed.
Oversees risk, issue, and change management processes.
Oversees Products and Solutions that are unique to the clinical enterprise.
Engages Medical Center Shared IT Services (MCIT) for Enterprise Products and Solutions.
Program manages the implementation of business process change (where the Program does not warrant a separate Program Manager) or partners with the Program Manager where one exists.
Ensures that Organizational Change Management needs (e.g., training, stakeholder communications) are fully met.
III. KEY IT COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

IV. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
The minimum professional and educational background required:
Bachelorâs degree in the healthcare field such as nursing, clinical care specialties, Information Systems, Computer Science, and Business or with an information technology focus preferred; Masterâs degree in clinical care related field preferred.
Minimum 9-11 years of experience in progressively responsible IT leadership in the clinical related positions; experience in an academic or complex health care setting preferred.
Very good understanding of clinical care pathways, workflows and hospital administration is required.
Broad experience in clinical healthcare systems, including experience with large scale clinical information system solutions. Experience with Epic EHR preferred.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget; able to scale up or down project/program size as required by the business
Demonstrated ability to skillfully surface important issues and negotiate through tough situations to create buy-in for business-IT solutions
Experience with the IT Governance process and articulating business requests and expectations in terms of the project and service portfolio
Is a skilled communicator; able to convey complex technical ideas in clear business language

SUMMARY
The Corporate Materials Manager has the responsibility for multi-plant both domestic and international to insure the overall efficiency and effectiveness of all Supply Chain Processes to include : Purchasing, Planning, Shipping & Receiving and Inventory Control and to optimize the efficient procurement of materials, supplies and services at the most favorable price, in the quantities required when and where needed and maintaining quality standards that meet or exceed ISO 9001. This individual should be comfortable with presentations and communications at top levels of management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and execute strategies for materials, inventory and sourcing that will produce significant cost savings by leveraging economies of scale, modifying demand, optimizing processes and capturing innovative, efficient solutions.
* Sourcing of raw materials both domestically and globaly.
* Responsible for Customer Demand Management, Master Scheduling, and provide functional leadership to Engineering and Plant operations.
* Communicate and ensure a complete understanding procurement of materials both domestic and international.
* Analyze consumption trends, plan complex and/or long-lead items, and drive material setup for anticipated customer requirements.
* Develop and execute strategies for optimally managing vendor relationships, working with management to ensure a smooth execution, on-time delivery, quality, meet ISO 9001 standards and drive analysis to identify opportunities for total cost reduction.
* Plans, directs and controls all Materials Control Operations including production scheduling, materials planning, traffic management, stockroom control, receiving and shipping.
* Develops policies, procedures and work instructions for the various areas of the department in compliance to corporate guidelines, ISO 9001 and other regulatory requirements.
* Prioritizes work center requirements for both operations and engineering to ensure optimal on-time deliveries of all order commitments.
* Strives for continued lead-time reductions through improvements in scheduling, material availability, processes and efficiencies.
* Compiles and extracts computer-generated performance reports for cycle counts, inventory levels, efficiencies and other operation's measurements.
* Coordinates and organizes activities to accurately and efficiently receive, store, transport and ship materials.
* Assists in the development of department budgets and strives to contain costs within approved guidelines.
* Reviews MRP suggestions and coordinates the generations and release of appropriate purchase order requisitions, work orders and subcontract service orders.
* Controls work- in process and stockroom inventory levels in accordance with management's objectives.
* Oversees the coordination of packaging needs, transportation services and logistics management, primarily for outbound freight; ensures adherence to packaging standards for safe delivery of products to customers.
* Implements improvements in mechanization, processes, and hardware, software and company practices to reduce direct or indirect costs.
* Arranges for periodic review and disposition of surplus and obsolete materials according to company guidelines.
* Performs various other functions as determined necessary by the Director of Operations or upper management.
* Requires a minimum of 25% travel.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (As required)
Oversees all activities and personnel of the Materials Control Group including Production and Inventory Planning, Purchasing, Traffic, Stockroom, Receiving and Shipping. Ensures timely and objective performance reviews of subordinates and subsequently recommends appropriate salary and position changes as may be appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of 10 to 12 years of identifiable and verifiable skills and experience in Materials Management, Procurement, Global Sourcing and Purchasing.
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Requires good knowledge of materials management including global sourcing as well as domestic. Must have basic computer skills in order to access PC networks and knowledge of MRP systems is preferred. Should have good communication, motivational and interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Minimum B.S./B.A. college degree are highly recommended. Masters degree is preferred. A minimum of 10 to 12 year's direct experience in a manufacturing environment, in capital equipment is required. Able to use PC software required to meet job expectations and management demands.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Training requirements are as designated by the Director of Operations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong analytical skills are a plus.
REASONING ABILITY
While understanding the overall interaction of all departments, able to constantly balance multiple order priorities, resource loading and project requirements to meet order commitments and company objectives.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Active membership in APICS is beneficial. Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is preferred.

Contract Assignment Opportunity for Senior Financial Analysts - Trav

A Midwestern "Systemically Important Financial Institution" (SIFI) is looking to significantly upgrade its analytical capabilities. In the short run it is looking to hire experienced senior analysts to independently review and validate existing credit, liquidity and market risk models. After the review is completed, the team will engage in a 6-12 month project to enhance the models, and upgrade the analytical capabilities of the bank. Thereafter, the team will be engaged in annual validation of models, and the annual Stress Tests. The project is in the design phase, and final requirements are not yet complete. The current plan is to hire 5-10 analysts for a 9 month assignment, with a plan to retain approximately 5 members on a permanent basis. Although the team will be located in NYC, the first 3-6 months will require travel weekly to the bank HQ, less than a 2 hour flight from NYC. After the initial review and validation phase, travel will taper off to 3-6 days per month.
Desired skills sets for this project include (not all are required):
1. Experience working with or building statistics based credit or market risk models, including traditional credit metrics based models (cash flow coverage, FICO scores), and models based on macro economic factors, such as GDP or unemployment;
2. Experience with Value at Risk and Monte Carlo based analytical methods;
3. Familiarity with "Economic Capital" concepts, market valuation methods for fixed income instruments, swaps, and options and ability to analyze and validate models using these methods
4. Experience with SAS and or Stat Tools or similar statistics software is very helpful
5. Ability to use PowerPoint to make presentations is helpful
Upon approval of the project the team will work in the HQ 4 days per week initially, and in NYC on the 5th day. The team will be a NYC based resource for the bank, which is expanding in the Eastern US and Europe. Relocation to the HQ is not necessary, nor is it envisioned.
