[itroundtable] Please Tell Congressional Leaders to Renew Unemployment Insurance

 

Hello - Two million unemployed Americans will be abruptly cut off of federal unemployment insurance the last week of December unless Congress acts to renew the federal benefits program.  Another one million would lose access to those benefits after their regular state benefits run out during the first three months of 2013.  That would be cruel indeed, and damaging to the economy. I just sent a message to Congressional leaders, telling them to put partisanship aside and renew the existing federal unemployment insurance program for 2013 before it expires at the end of this year.
