Position Responsibilities - Summary
The Inside Sales Representative will generate buying demand for the firm's
products with prospective enterprise-class clients.
A typical workday comprises of making 50-80 calls to prospective clients,
working with the Account Managers to insure quality information sharing and
delivering WebEx meetings to prospects regarding the firm's products.
Responsibilities:
· Provide support and work closely with the regional sales
executives
· Prospect into multiple organizations via cold calling, networking,
mail/e-marketing, and/or utilizing Internet information sources.
· Handle all inbound information requests either electronically or
via the telephone
· Articulate the firm's value proposition to decision-makers across
multiple industries to assess buying interest. Promote software solutions
from Chief Executive Officer level on down; interact with various management
levels and professionals across technical and business disciplines.
· Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities for
current and future quarters
· Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the firm's technology
and clearly articulate it's capabilities and advantages to prospective
customers.
· Assist in the preparation of proposals and helping in the closing
of complex enterprise software sales.
· Contribute to every component of the critical functions associated
with fulfilling the sales cycle (forecasting, reporting, customer database
maintenance and data entry, correspondence, and communications)
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
· 3+ years proven success in business-to-business sales within a
commercial software organization
· Proven record working in an inside sales, telemarketing, or call
center role, and ability to navigate complex organizations via phone or
email relationship-building techniques.
· Demonstrated ability to understand and successfully promote
technical offerings and solution sets
· Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, listening and
cold-calling
· Ability to converse with and influence IT organizations
· Knowledge of marketing techniques and databases used in marketing
a plus
· Experience with Salesforce.com a plus
· Able to work independently in an entrepreneurial, start-up
environment
Preference given for:
· Experience selling software into the financial services industry
