Our client, a global retailer, is currently seeking a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. The Director will provide the company's senior management with analysis on profitability of existing business segments and new opportunities as identified and/or requested. This role will coordinate the strategic plan with all other financial planning and analysis functions to ensure continuity between business units. Also provide in-depth analysis regarding opportunities for growth and cost containment.
Responsibilities
·Coordinate with the CEO, CFO, and other members of senior management to ensure that a comprehensive Strategic Plan is compiled and updated.
·Establish and maintain a direct support role for the CFO.
·Perform ad hoc financial modeling and analysis and make recommendations based upon the results of the analytical analysis.
·Evaluate strategic opportunities including acquisitions, new concepts and strategic alliance. Provide research, market analysis and competitive intelligence.
·Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and analysis including, the monthly financial forecast for the company, monthly reporting package for the Board.
·Ensure that proper organizational structure is in place to meet the responsibilities in this area of responsibility. Also, develop and manage analyst(s) ensuring that proper support is provided.
Qualifications
·10+ years of Financial Planning and Analysis leadership experience including strategic financial planning and financial modeling.
·Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and technology tools such as Business Objects.
·MBA is required.
·Previous management experience is a must.
