Description:
Internal Controls and Accounting Senior Analyst
Conducts all Internal Controls Self-Assessment as related to NA FSSC and maintains proper documentation. Performs general accounting reconciliations, analysis of accounts and conducts certain monthly and closing quarterly activities. Responsible for the coordination of internal and external audit work. Reports to the NA FSSC Finance Director.
Responsibilities include:
Evaluates general control environment within the accounting and accounts payable area, makes recommendations for enhancement and implements by working with the appropriate departments and IT in securing an efficient, effective and timely implementation.
Prepares account reconciliations/analysis and works with the business owners to ensure that aged items and reconciling items over 90 days and material reconciling items are quickly resolved.
Supports in establishing the processes within R2R to identify necessary corrective actions and enhancements to eliminate reconciling items from recurring.
Prepares for Quarterly Balance Sheet Review and supports NA FSSC management in assessing risks within the NA Balance Sheet.
Prepares daily, monthly or quarterly accounts assigned following standard operating procedures and good accounting practices. Supports, as necessary, the review of certain accounts and documents actions required by owners, coordinating and establishing timing for completing actions with account owners as necessary.
Monthly and Quarterly Internal Control Self-Assessment by compiling adequate sample according to control test steps, documenting self assessment conducting and determining if controls are effective or not. Establish remediation course of action and follow through for all ineffective controls; determine financial implication.
Liaise with NA Internal Controls Coordinator frequently, represents NA FSSC in meetings and in establishing new/revised internal controls.
Coordinates with Internal Audit and External Audit Groups the quarterly revisions of internal controls, and the work required for both Quarterly and Year-end Audit Work. Liaise on particular internal audits performed as necessary.
Participate in other projects, meetings and priorities as determined by the NA FSSC Finance Director
Qualifications
BA in Accounting, CPA license required
Knowledgeable of SOX and Internal Controls, Knowledge of integrated Accounting/general ledger system such as SAP, JDE or similar,
Extensive/advanced knowledge of excel, good knowledge of powerpoint.
