Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Change Control/ Release Coordinator for a long term contract assignment with one of our premier financial industry clients in Lower Manhattan, NYC. This position is responsible for management of the environment planning function to support release management and testing. Core responsibilities of the individual include environment planning for release testing (QA/UAT), environment issue escalation and support, environment availability reporting and production deployment planning and execution.
Responsibilities:
Adhere to established processes to ensure timely and successful production deployments.
Help define new best practices in change & release management policies and procedures
Structure appropriate releases/schedules
Lead Implementation planning meetings prior to deployment
Engage and schedule functional resources in support of deployment and implementation verification
Acquire final approvals from QA and the LOB for application deployments
Responsible for Dev, QA, UAT, DR, Prod, and other client-facing environments as well as project deploys and infrastructure upgrades, when necessary
Ensure that all applicable environment issues are resolved in advance of production implementation
Execute deployment according to implementation plan
Coordinate overall deployment plan
Track deployment activities as they occur using implementation plan
Required Skills:
Release Management / Change Control experience
Project Coordination experience
Experience not just executing the release management process but defining it across a large-scale organization.
Experience with Java, Websphere and .net Environments
Windows and Linux Operating Systems
A strong troubleshooting technical background is required.
MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Must be a self-starter, flexible, self-directed and extremely detail-oriented
Financial services experience is highly desired.

Deviations from the standards are documented via pictures and a written description and forwarded to the appropriate installation authority for correction. The Auditor analyzes the corresponding engineering specifications, drawings, and assignment tables, and documents deviations from the IP72013, the GR1502 and various Engineering Bulletins. Engineering deviations are documented in a standardized format and forwarded to the appropriate authority for review.
Each Auditor is expected to complete a minimum number of installation and engineering audits per month. The Auditor provides installation & engineering data for the Quality Assurance (QA) Meetings with their assigned suppliers. These meeting take place at least semi-annually. Additional meetings are held if high levels of quality problems are identified. At the QA Meetings, the Auditor reviews the supplier’s report card, installation defects including trends, engineering issues, and updates the supplier on new issues effecting installation and engineering.
If installation related service outages occur, the Auditor will work with the installation supplier and COEI Supervision to ensure that a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) meeting is held and the Auditor will make recommendations on procedures to prevent similar outages from occurring in the future.
The auditor must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, CCP (Capacity Creation Process), central office equipment, engineering standards, and installation standards. The Auditor must have excellent organizational skills. Additionally, writing and oratory skills must be excellent as the Auditor must communicate with engineering and installation organizations on a daily basis.

The System Administrator will independently develop strategies and architecture as required for simple client server implementations. Manage development, deployment, and stabilization of simple client server implementations. Under guidance and direction of more experienced Administrator, they will execute development, deployment, and stabilization of more complex client server implementations. Working with more experienced Administrator and Subject Matter Experts, develop security approach to ensuring company’s data centers and server farms are secure from external as well as internal penetration
· Bachelors Degree or appropriate vocational or apprenticeship training. May substitute prior work experience.
· MCSE, A+, MCDST or CCNA certification preferred,
