PROJECT ENGINEER (Confidential Search) The Project Engineer assists the Project team in obtaining, evaluating, coordinating and distributing the information and authorizations necessary to construct the project on time, within budget and to the quality specified. Typical Responsibilities Include: - Ensure Contract Document Logs are established and maintained
- Participate in and write notes, instructions or minutes from meetings that clearly communicate discussion agreements, decisions and action
- Effectively issue Request for Quotations and follow up with Trade Contractors
- Gain exposure to change management reports, estimates and other cost report documents
- Gain an exposure to project schedules with CPM techniques
- Accurately process and distribute RFI's and submittals and ensure status reports and other documents are prepared accurately
- Document field quality activities timely
- Establish and maintain the project quality files and documentation systems
- Seek to understand customer goals and needs and act with a sense of urgency in meeting customer needs and demonstrating promote the interest of both the business and client in all matters
Experience/Education - BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Prior experience with CM or General Contractor desirable
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to work in a team based environment
- Learn to work effectively within new structures, processes, requirements and culture
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- OSHA 30-Hour Certified
