Listed below are next week'supcoming networking events. All meetings are open to the public, plus you arewelcome and strongly encouraged to attend. Try going to at least one or twomeetings a week, what you learn there will definitely help shorten your time intransition. Also, many of these groups convene in the evening, so it will nottake time away from your daily job search activities.
Think of these meetings asopportunities, sort of like going to school, to learn something that can reduceyour time in transition by gaining knowledge in job search and interviewingskills needed to excel and standout from your competition.
In traveling to these meetings,consider car pooling. Not only will it reduce the cost of driving there, butthe friendly conversation will make the ride seem to go much faster.
In the event of snow or inclementweather, please check with the meeting organizer if the presentation will becanceled or postponed before traveling there. Your safety is important! Pleaserely on your best judgment before venturing out on slippery roads.

Job Description: Develop R.F. solutions to complex business and technical problems using advanced engineering and scientific principles, experimental research and modeling, and product evaluation and analysis.
• Evaluates point-to-point/point-to-multipoint microwave radio and free-space optical backhaul technologies and equipment as part of our Telecom Client's Approval-For-Use process.
• Designs tests and experiments; develops requirements and bench and field test plans; conducts bench and field tests to characterize radio performance and network compatibility; collects, processes, and analyzes test data; documents results; determines the impact of results as they relate to our Telecom Client's engineering rules and guidelines documents; and supports successful initial radio deployments in the our Telecom Client network.
• Applies engineering principles and practice in broad areas of complex technical project work that requires in-depth analysis using advanced techniques, knowledge, and expertise.
• Conducts regression tests across multiple radio profiles as new radio software/hardware is released.
• Performs antenna testing; physical installation of radios, mounts, cabling and waveguide; and fabrication of specialized hardware when necessary.
• Conducts E&M modeling and three-dimensional antenna/coupler prototyping when productized solutions are not available.
• Uses innovative methods in developing practical solutions.
• Uses extensive research and interpretative thinking in developing enterprise-wide integrated radio solutions
• Supports our Telecom Client's National Disaster Recovery team during national emergencies, which may require access to SHARES network terminal.
• Supports ad-hoc requests for testing from field operations, network planning and engineering, and our Telecom Client Government Solutions team.
• Integrates expert knowledge of technical principles/methods of multiple disciplines with knowledge of products/services and internal operations
• Advises on our Telecom Client's technologies/systems/procedures/standards.
• Solves complex, critical problems related to significant and unique issues.
• Works on abstract problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables.
• Leads team members on sub-projects, making progress on multiple projects at the same time.
Education
BSEE (MSEE preferred)
Desired Experience and skills
· Experience in R.F. engineering, including 3+ years microwave experience point-to-point/point-to-multipoint radio (with knowledge of governing deployment issues such as field theory, LOS, rain degradation, multipath fading, shadowing, and interference limitations).
· Three years or more of hands-on Base Station Radio testing such as UMTS or LTE is required.
· Knowledge of NLOS propagation properties of various radio environments, MIMO, Phased-array antennas is highly desired.
· Knowledge of FCC standards, R.F. emission safety standards, and TP76200/Telcordia standards is required.
· On-site presence in lab facility is required since work activities include daily hands-on interaction with physical equipment. Individuals must be qualified and physically able to climb towers for antenna installation, or alternatively, be able to work on roof and support rigging of experiments. Travel will be rare, but may be required to support First Field Application (FFA) trials around the United States when equipment is first deployed after completing Lab testing.
· Must have excellent writing skills in English, demonstrable through an established record of either published papers or internal technical documents.
· A broad background in radio engineering and performance characterization is required. Must be familiar with: statistical processing of propagation data; R.F. and optical performance requirements; measurement techniques and test equipment; data acquisition interfaces; interference control and management; and issues relevant to radio/optical connectivity to our Telecom Client's network.
· Must have specific knowledge of point-to-point/point-to-multipoint radio operations using Ethernet over microwave, hot-standby, cross-polarization, space diversity, and radio link aggregation.
· Expertise in free-space optics and 70/80 GHz propagation is required.
· Knowledge of meteorology and weather-related event correlation will be beneficial.
· Exposure to multiple vendor relationships requires individuals to have a high standard of integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics.
· Individuals must have the flexibility to participate in and make progress on multiple projects at the same time as ad-hoc requests for test results are occasionally made by other organizations within our Telecom Client.
Certifications
Valid U.S. Driver's license required for experimental field measurement campaigns.

Job Description: Develop R.F. solutions to complex business and technical problems using advanced engineering and scientific principles, experimental research and modeling, and product evaluation and analysis.
• Evaluates point-to-point/point-to-multipoint microwave radio and free-space optical backhaul technologies and equipment as part of our Telecom Client's Approval-For-Use process.
• Designs tests and experiments; develops requirements and bench and field test plans; conducts bench and field tests to characterize radio performance and network compatibility; collects, processes, and analyzes test data; documents results; determines the impact of results as they relate to our Telecom Client's engineering rules and guidelines documents; and supports successful initial radio deployments in the our Telecom Client network.
• Applies engineering principles and practice in broad areas of complex technical project work that requires in-depth analysis using advanced techniques, knowledge, and expertise.
• Conducts regression tests across multiple radio profiles as new radio software/hardware is released.
• Performs antenna testing; physical installation of radios, mounts, cabling and waveguide; and fabrication of specialized hardware when necessary.
• Conducts E&M modeling and three-dimensional antenna/coupler prototyping when productized solutions are not available.
• Uses innovative methods in developing practical solutions.
• Uses extensive research and interpretative thinking in developing enterprise-wide integrated radio solutions
• Supports our Telecom Client's National Disaster Recovery team during national emergencies, which may require access to SHARES network terminal.
• Supports ad-hoc requests for testing from field operations, network planning and engineering, and our Telecom Client Government Solutions team.
• Integrates expert knowledge of technical principles/methods of multiple disciplines with knowledge of products/services and internal operations
• Advises on our Telecom Client's technologies/systems/procedures/standards.
• Solves complex, critical problems related to significant and unique issues.
• Works on abstract problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables.
• Leads team members on sub-projects, making progress on multiple projects at the same time.
Education
BSEE (MSEE preferred)
Desired Experience and skills
· Experience in R.F. engineering, including 3+ years microwave experience point-to-point/point-to-multipoint radio (with knowledge of governing deployment issues such as field theory, LOS, rain degradation, multipath fading, shadowing, and interference limitations).
· Three years or more of hands-on Base Station Radio testing such as UMTS or LTE is required.
· Knowledge of NLOS propagation properties of various radio environments, MIMO, Phased-array antennas is highly desired.
· Knowledge of FCC standards, R.F. emission safety standards, and TP76200/Telcordia standards is required.
· On-site presence in lab facility is required since work activities include daily hands-on interaction with physical equipment. Individuals must be qualified and physically able to climb towers for antenna installation, or alternatively, be able to work on roof and support rigging of experiments. Travel will be rare, but may be required to support First Field Application (FFA) trials around the United States when equipment is first deployed after completing Lab testing.
· Must have excellent writing skills in English, demonstrable through an established record of either published papers or internal technical documents.
· A broad background in radio engineering and performance characterization is required. Must be familiar with: statistical processing of propagation data; R.F. and optical performance requirements; measurement techniques and test equipment; data acquisition interfaces; interference control and management; and issues relevant to radio/optical connectivity to our Telecom Client's network.
· Must have specific knowledge of point-to-point/point-to-multipoint radio operations using Ethernet over microwave, hot-standby, cross-polarization, space diversity, and radio link aggregation.
· Expertise in free-space optics and 70/80 GHz propagation is required.
· Knowledge of meteorology and weather-related event correlation will be beneficial.
· Exposure to multiple vendor relationships requires individuals to have a high standard of integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics.
· Individuals must have the flexibility to participate in and make progress on multiple projects at the same time as ad-hoc requests for test results are occasionally made by other organizations within our Telecom Client.
Certifications
Valid U.S. Driver's license required for experimental field measurement campaigns.
