Director, Service Delivery & Implementation
JOB SUMMARY:
The Director, Service Delivery & Implementation is responsible for the on-time delivery and reliable operation of technology solutions and services to the business. The Director SD&I will lead cross functional teams in the global delivery of complex solutions as well as develop and manage IT service level agreements, and operational goals which are tied to long-term objectives of the company. He / She will serve as final point of escalation for problem resolution in the multisite environment.

Accountabilities Importance %
1. Plan, coordinate, direct, and design all service delivery activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for Global IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. 40
2. Work closely functional department heads to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. 20
3. Architect strategic enterprise systems solutions, ensuring they meet availability, scalability, security, and business continuity goals as well as monitor emerging technology developments and identify opportunities / areas for improvement. 20
4. Review and assess the reliability and performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements; initiating preventive and corrective actions as required. 5
5 Manage business continuity and recovery of company's information systems, including needs analysis, design, plan development, implementation and documentation. 5
6. Establish and manage relationships with strategic partners and technology vendors and ensure that service levels are achieved or exceeded. 5
7. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. 5
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Experience (e.g. Jobs, supervisory, industry, international, etc…):
- 10+ years progressive IT experience, preferably in life sciences
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience in IT strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development.
- Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
- Excellent understanding and technical knowledge of current network and operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management.
- Proven track record of delivering cost effective solutions in a dynamic, cost conscience environment
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Demonstrated alignment with the companies values and culture
- The candidate should also have working knowledge of key functional applications and regulations pertinent to a publicly listed pharmaceutical company:
- GxP systems (clinical, safety, document management) * Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance * General ledger applications, such as Great Plains * 21 CFR, Part 11 Compliance.
- Should understand and practice necessary disciplines needed to manage using the ITIL framework: Capacity Planning
