IT Specialist Job Summary:The IT Specialistwill be a key contributor to the successful operation of the IT department inalignment with the business objectives of the organization. The IT Specialist will help to ensure thatall Amerlux IT systems are performing and are maintained at acceptableoperating levels and will resolve any issues that would impede operations. This position will participate in theplanning, implementation and maintenance of system hardware and software andwill provide desktop support for local and remote systems users.MinimumQualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor'sdegree and four years of related work experience
- Strongknowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office programs, Sharepoint
- Strongtechnical knowledge of networking devices, computer hardware, servers andoperating systems
- Extensiveapplication support experience
- Stronganalytical and problem solving abilities
- Someproject management experience for IT initiatives
- Quicklearner able to assimilate new technologies
- Strongtime management and organizational skills
- Abilityto remain calm and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressureenvironment
- Exceptionalcustomer service orientation and personality
- Experienceworking in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Job Responsibilities:
- Participatesin the design, implementation and maintenance of information systems to servethe operational needs of the Company
- Installs,maintains and troubleshoots issues with hardware and software
- Assistsend-users with software application and hardware issues
- Supportthe deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development and upgrade of all ITsystems including telecommunications, servers, PCs, peripherals and businessapplications
- Work withstakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technologyimplementations
- Analyzeand make recommendations for the improvement and growth of IT infrastructureand systems
- Establishand maintain IT policies and procedures
- Collaboratewith third party partners to achieve the best solutions and outcomes inaccordance with service level expectations
- Performasset management tracking for IT hardware, software and equipment
- Participate,administer and support Amerlux IT initiatives as requested
- Otherduties as deemed appropriate by the Company and management
