Position
Overview:
The Director of Community
Relations creates and implements strategic plans to drive development initiatives from individuals, corporate,
foundation and government sources that support the organizationâs financial objectives.
This individual establishes, cultivates, and maintains external community
relationships and effectively partners with diverse groups of constituents.
Ideal candidate will have experience prospecting and recruiting entities for
sponsorship opportunities, have great presentation and selling skills, be an
effective closer, and have background managing a volunteer and intern workforce. The
Director of Community Relations provides leadership for staff, manages
day-to-day development activities and achieves specific fundraising goals
designed to support, enhance and expand key initiatives central to the mission
of the museum. This role is responsible for financial outcomes that support
annual operations, capital growth, endowments and planned giving.
Position
Responsibilities:
Leadership
* Leadsprojects and activities related to the analysis, planning, execution and evaluation of community relations and fundraising programs. Consistently meets deadlines.
* Leverages internal/external resources to effectively support fundraising goals by working closely with the Chief Relationship Officer, Community Relations team, internal cross-functional management and volunteer leadership including Board of Directors and other committees.
* Demonstrates influential leadership both internally and within the community and helps represent SSMC as a highly respected educational resource.
Strategic Planning
* Works with the Chief Relationship Officer and the Community Relations team to create a strategic fundraising plan that includes cultivation, stewardship, gift strategies, grant opportunities and outcomes to maximize donor interest and involvement across diverse markets.
* Prepares detailed business plans that incorporate a project charter, desired outcomes, strategies, actions, budget, timeline, metrics, needed resources and evaluation process.
Stewardship and Community
Cultivation
* Acts as an Ambassador and actively shares information within area communities to raise awareness of the museum and to drive financial support.
* Proactively identifies, recruits and leverages expertise and resources to create win-win community partnerships.
* Creates strategies with the Community Relations team to achieve short and long-term financial goals that ensure continuous stewarding and growth of the museumâs donor base.
* Pursues active involvement in community organizations and committees
Market Research and
Analysis
* Works closely with the business intelligence team to determine metrics and measure success.
* Provides accurate and timely information to the CRO, Community Relations team, internal cross-functional management and/or volunteer committees.
* Oversees effective and accurate record keeping systems for tracking donor engagement, stewardship activities and the identification and cultivation of prospects.
* Oversees the process to ensure accurate and timely data is recorded in Raiserâs Edge.
Teamwork and Collaboration
* Works collaboratively with internal teams, volunteer committees and community partners.
* Manages the seamless administration of Community Relations functions including procedures, systems and communications. Provides appropriate training for staff and volunteers as required.
Staff Community Relations
and Management
* Hires, trains, evaluates and manages direct reports to ensure efficient, productive and knowledgeable staff and teams.
* Requires strong management and coaching skills.
* Completes the mid-year and annual performance management process for all direct reports and develops individual business outcomes and professional development plan.
Minimum
Experience/Skills/Certificates:
§ College degree
and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in business,
community relations, nonprofit community or related field.
§ Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the intricacies
of nonprofits including fund-raising strategies and techniques.
§ Proven knowledge
of best practices in capital campaign fundraising, major gift solicitation,
planned
and deferred giving, endowment, community relations, donor recognition and stewardship.
§ Proven experience
and measurable results with grant writing.
§ Demonstrates a
thorough understanding of marketing philosophies, concepts and techniques,
including research, promotional initiatives and production.
§ Proven analytical
skills with the ability to interpret market research provide direction to
support the museumâs short and long-range goals.
§ Excellent
strategic, financial and project planning and management skills.Strong Computer
skills and proven ability to learn new systems and software.

Position
Overview:
The Director of Sponsorships
and Promotions supports the museumâs fundraising efforts by providing effective
sponsorship and promotional opportunities and securing corporate sponsorships
for events and programs throughout the year. Manages Companies for Kids corporate membership program including the
Companies for Kids Task Force. Develops and manages unique promotional events,
programs and partnerships to drive visitation and income; both earned and
contributed.
Position
Responsibilities:
Leadership
* Develops and customizes sponsorship opportunities between the organization and corporations to support sponsorship goals.
* Secures corporate sponsors for all upcoming events and programs to support sponsorship goals.
* Manages, grows and maintains Companies for Kids corporate membership program.
* Determines which community venues the museum should support through participation and outreach.

* Serves as the museumâs spokesperson, relating to its vision, mission and strategies in a variety of settings, including those of a highly sensitive nature.
Staff Development and
Management (Applicable if position has direct reports)
* Hires, trains, evaluates and manages direct reports to ensure efficient, productive and knowledgeable staff and teams.
* Completes the performance management process for direct reports and consistently meets all deadlines; creates individual professional development plans for all direct reports.
Market Research and

* Researches opportunities for sponsorships and promotions.

How are you? How are things going? I wanted to see if you might know of anyone. I am currently looking for an HR Manager for one of my clients in the Hatfield area and they would like them to be out of Manufacturing salary range is $75k to $85k.
Also I wanted to see if you might know of anyone for a Profit Center Analyst position with heavy SAP experience located in the LV area salary range is $65k to $75k.
