JOB DESCRIPTION:

Project/Department Description and responsibilities
• Consumer Infrastructure projects, Global Program Management

Environment Development Tool(s) and Platform(s)
General experience and understanding of:
• Windows 200X Server Platform incl. SQL, IIS, Sharepoint
• VMWare, Citrix
• Unix, Oracle
• SAP

Primary Tasks and responsibilities
• Manage Infrastructure project requests, taking into account SDLC guidelines and procedures
• Group, prioritize and optimize those requests
• Responsible for gathering project requirements, define/document solutions and associated resource and cost estimates
• Responsible for assembling project teams, identifying appropriate resources needed, develop and execute project plans, and assign individual responsibilities, track progress and status
• Function as a team builder for projects managed
• Track, schedule and manage risks and issues to ensure commitment dates and project deliverables are met
• Ensure all compliance documentation is created, approved and stored appropriately
• Deliver projects within requested timeframe and budget

Technical profile requirements
• Project Management experience in an international and multicultural environment (budgets, plan, schedule, issue tracking/remediation, risk analysis, etc.) (+5 years)
• Experience with end user support integrations or environments (ITIL)
• Computer infrastructure operations or deployment background
• Technical writing skills to write the proper documentation according to internal regulations (FDA part 11, GxP, SOx…)

Non-Technical profile requirements
• Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend/holiday work)
• Travel can occur occasionally but will be limited
• Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills
• Strong leadership skills and able to motivate teams is a must
• Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
• Quick learner, motivated self-starter
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills
• Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines

Methodology/Certification requirements
• Bachelor Degree. Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred

JOB SUMMARY

Veeco is looking for a Senior Quality Systems Specialist to support the MOCVD business unit by improving its quality infrastructure, thereby improving system capability and efficiency while enabling the improvement of quality business processes designed to ensure high quality products are delivered to its customers. The right candidate will drive the acquiring of third party quality process recognition through the acquiring of ISO 9001:2008 certification, and lead the continuous improvement of supporting quality systems. If you are a self motivated individual with strong communication skills and thrive in a fast paced environment, with a growing company, where the development of disciplined business processes designed to maximize operational efficiencies and improve quality and customer satisfaction is valued, and you are experienced supporting the manufacturing of tools and components for the high tech industry, then this job is for you.

10 Weekly Identify, monitor and drive improvement to assigned key quality metrics utilizing the Quality Operating System to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be required in this position including but not limited to the following:
• ISO administrator acting as primary third party audit point of contact, providing routine oversight of ISO 9001:2008 quality systems, ensuring compliance to standard and driving continuous improvement in quality business processes.
• Ownership of quality systems, supporting development, refinement and review of standard operating procedures, work instructions and training records in compliance with the ISO 9001:2008 certification standard.
• Establish preventive action/recommendation program designed to capture, implement and recognize improvement opportunities across the business unit.
• Partner with key stakeholders to refine, develop and report customer satisfaction metrics reflecting internally generated data along with voice of the customer.
• Recommend opportunities for improvement based on health of quality system as measured through Key Performance Indicators and generated from internal and external audits. These are reported through metric and management reviews.
• Support development of Cost of Poor Quality metrics through utilization of quality systems to support efficient data capture and metric analysis.
• Provide new hire quality orientation training.

QUALIFICATIONS
Identify the minimum skills, knowledge and abilities required to competently perform the job duties. • Ability to travel both domestic and internationally at a target of 10%.

• Prior experience leading a team to the successful acquiring of ISO 9001:2008 certification.
• Six Sigma certification is highly preferred.

Director of Finance

We have been engaged to assist our client, a Fortune 500 Global Conglomerate
for a Director of Finance. This position is at a $500MM Division of a $4Bill
Publically Traded Company and located in Bergen County.

* Board Room and Parent Company C Level Exposure
* This is an impact position with great visibility.
* Responsibilities include all finance, accounting and administrative
functions in the US, as well as North and South America.
* This position is responsible for all senior level administrative and
operational finance activities in the U.S., as well as North and South
America, including the development and implementation of all corporate
strategies related to the consolidation of all branch-level accounting and
administrative functions ( Customer Invoicing, Regional Trade Accounts
Payable, Payroll as well as Regionalized Collections into several
Centralized District Accunting / Administrative / Operational support
centers.
* Additionally you will develop and implement standardized processes
over all customer activities, forecasting accuracy, project accounting as
well as maintaining and improving internal control compliance.
* This position also will provide direct financial support to the
Branch Location General Managers in areas like customer contract analysis,
key performance statistics, cost containment and overall branch
profitability.
* The position will directly supervise all Regional Finance Managers
as well as indirectly their staffs, and have dotted line responsibility to
the Regional General Managers.
* Approximately 25% out of town travel will be required ( North
America ).
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
* Lead the Regional Finance Managers in the U.S., North and South
America and related support staffs, including personnel evaluation,
establishment of performance goals and objectives in line with overall
Finance department.
* Provide direct support for the Regional General Managers on major
client contracts.
* Establish a Centralized District accounting and administrative and
operational support centers and be responsible for the performance of those
centers in servicing the needs of the business in the U.S. and North /
South America .
* Including but not limited to:
* Implement practices and monitor for opportunities to reduce
transaction processing costs.
* Analysis of monthly performance on labor
* Analyze and tighten compliance with key controls in billing,
purchasing, payroll and human resource administration.
* Implement standardized processes and controls in areas such as
customer contract file maintenance, inventory control, sales order
processing, credit authorization and management and payroll
* Implement best practices and assure communication and compliance
across multiple branch and region locations
* Indentify and resolve underlying causes of billing and inventory
accuracies that lead to troublesome and/or disputed accounts
* Cash Flow optimization: Accurate/timely billing, AR Collection and
assurance of diligent expense control
* Must have the ability to identify key personnel needs, match
existing personnel to those needs and/or hire the necessary personnel all
within the confines of a time-sensitive, consolidation program.
* Significantly improve critical thinking within the district teams
with regard to analysis in forecasting
* Thorough variance analysis of month end results - providing key
findings and recommendations for improvements
* Analysis of all cost and revenue for variances
* Standardize Key Performance Indicators for the district, including:
* Providing proactive analysis so that proper asset movement and
investment can occur.
* Leading financial analysis for proper prioritization to expand
Customer Accounts and Line of Business.
* Formalize and implement effective job Costing and Reporting, with
outside support.
* Maintain effective internal controls.
Desired Experience
* Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business.
* Experience: 5 + years of relevant experience.
* Group, Regional or Business Unit Controllership (or Director)
experience in a publicly traded or Fortune 1000 company.
* PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* CPA or MBA
* Supervision (direct or indirect) over business support services,
such as forecasting, internal control compliance, billing (including labor
services), payroll, credit & collections, A / P.
* Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial contract and revenue
recognition practices
* Excellent leadership, planning, organizational, analytical,
oral/written communication skills.
* Solid understanding of commercial subcontract practices with
demonstrated competency in the area of budgeting/cost control, credit
authorization and management, financial reporting, client relationship and
Oracle or other financial reporting systems experience
Interpersonal Skills
* Effectively communicate and manage client relationships while
balancing internal control and business requirements
* Ability to work closely with various internal partners in
operations, sales engineering and district management
* Ability to develop and implement best practices, standardization
* Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with customers to
resolve billing, contract and/or collection matters.
Technical Skills
* Financial software experience.
* Excellent Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint computer
skills
* Thorough understanding and implementation of standardized policies
and procedures related to internal control frameworks.
* Business forecasting
* Job cost / Project Management Job Cost Expertise
Other Skills
* Ability to develop strategies and plans for major process changes in
accounting and administrative support while providing the necessary
leadership to keep the program on track to reach its primary goals within
the required timeframes.
* Ability to travel out of town approximately 25% of the time.

Compensation: Base salary $125 - 150K - plus bonus 20% at Plan - more.
