Start date is 9/6. The role will spend 50% of their time in NY and the other 50% in London.

Description
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the Privacy 2011 Safe Harbor recertification efforts for multiple Pharmaceutical Companies. In addition the Project Coordinator will support the Privacy Safe Harbor Process Excellence (Green Belt) team.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with US Privacy Operations to assist with the Safe Harbor Re-certification process for several Pharmaceutical Operating Companies.
• Assist with the Green Belt Project Core Team
• Assist with the assessments required for Privacy Safe Harbor Re-certification to government
• Obtain and review existing inventory to ensure all systems/websites in scope are identified.
• Review contract templates for appropriate privacy language.
• Review training completion records to ensure training of all employees as required.
• Submit filing fees for Safe Harbor Certification with Department of Commerce
• Update Privacy Website for new templates, work instructions as needed
• Attend Green Belt Core Team Meetings and work with business partners on follow up items
• Analyze data, consolidate information for Re-certification/Green Belt analysis
• Update Privacy PowerPoint Management Presentation on a monthly basis

Position Summary:
Lead MicroStrategy Projects for a Data Warehouse supporting the firms applications.

• Be able to demonstrate proficiency with Java and a reasonable subset of the following:
C++, SQL, UNIX, Messaging (MQ, RV), Spring, Hibernate, MVC frameworks (Struts, Spring), JSP/JSTL and Servlets, EJBs, Groovy/GRAILS, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Low-Latency/ High-Throughput Programming, Concurrent Programming, Object Oriented Design, Design Principles and Patterns, Agile Practices, Test Driven or Behavior Driven Development and Frameworks, Aspect Oriented Programming, Dependency Injection/Inversion of Control Hudson, the Atlassian suite including (Jira, Greenhopper, Fisheye, etc), HP Quality Center
Essential Skills (Technical / Business Domain / Managerial/ Soft skills)
• 8 years of significant hands on development experience
• 3-5 years of significant IT experience in Java, predominantly web-based development along with strong hands-on experience in various frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate
• Knowledge of Perl, Python or other scripting language
• Experience with Linux
• Experience in designing new systems or evaluating existing systems architectures based on RedHat Enterprise Linux running on both physical hardware and virtualized through VMWare infrastructure.
• Experience in systems scripting using standard shell interpreters like bash or python.
• Basic understanding of network topology and IPC across grids or hives of application servers through SOAP, RMI or other RPC mechanisms.
• Strong fundamental relational database experience and an understanding of document style "NoSQL" type persistence providers.
• Demonstrable experience building and integrating RESTful applications
• Candidates must have at least 8 years experience with software development, with Java being their expertise. Prior experience within the financial services sector or trading systems development would be considered a plus.
• Strong programming fundamentals including but not limited to data-structures, concurrent programming
• Experience with performance tuning applications is desirable
• Experience with spring framework, maven and junit tools is preferred
• Experience working with Eclipse modeling framework is a plus
• Experience with Agile/RAD type environments as well as full project lifecycle environments
• Strong communication skills. Working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Good analytical and problem solving skills. Good personal management skills and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
• Expertise in how software is deployed in large geographically diffuse organizations
• Experience in operating software deployed in large geographically diffuse organizations
