OVERVIEW
An immediate Project Management (PM) opportunity supporting a global Banking and a major Financial Services company located in Northern New Jersey. The role of the PM, within the Project Management Office (PMO), will support the Information Technology department. The Management Support Unit is a transversal team dedicated to assist each IT business line to execute their roadmap by following their execution capacity, budget and project portfolio. The PMO team is key in the organization and especially in the 2010 expending and challenging context. This role will ensure project governance and processes are strictly enforced to optimize project timing, cost and deliverables quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Manager (PMO) will support ongoing operations for the PMO by taking a role in Project Governance, Communications and Process Development.
Project Management Officer Responsibilities include:
: Tracking the status of all projects and manage escalations
: Enforcing methodology, process, governance and tool usage
: Facilitating weekly project status meetings
: Coordinating & facilitating executive meetings
: Updating and reviewing weekly reports for all projects
: Updating all relevant PMO documents and tools
: Support of the time tracking tool and planning for Projects
: Managing the Document Repository tool which is used as the project database and to allow for file collaboration
: Managing project budgets, tracking costs and reporting
: Facilitating internal tool & process training
: Supporting project managers in preparation and refinement of presentations for management
: Reviewing all processes to ensure approval guidelines and decision making bodies are incorporated and followed
: Creating and managing the documentation flow process and other related information
: Discussing process improvement opportunities with process owners and/or related resources
: Providing training as needed for process changes or document changes
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required/Must have:
: Microsoft Office

The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey is seeking a Manager to coordinate and manage the activities of assigned medium to large-scale, complicated and/or fast-track capital construction projects from the planning and design stages through construction, occupancy and project close-out. You will manage and administer capital projects including all daily activities associated with: planning, budgeting, coordination/preparation of contract documents, project meetings, oversight of construction activities; coordination of end user requirements, professional consultants, construction administration and end user occupancy.
A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management is required. A minimum of ten years of practical project management experience as an owner's representative with at least five years being in a supervisory capacity is preferred. Experience with contract documentation and project development from preliminary planning through final occupancy on new construction and renovation/alteration projects with budgets ranging between $1,000,000 and $100,000,000 and experience in project management of healthcare projects, research projects and/or higher education projects is required. The ability and will to travel to and from the home office and Campus to Campus in central and southern New Jersey. Professional license to practice Architecture or Engineering in New Jersey is preferred.
