The Director, IT Architecture & Emerging Technologies leads the development of the company's architecture vision and strategy and the rapid proof of concept evaluation of emerging information technologies. This leader provides strong leadership to ensure that IT activities and projects align with current and long-term business goals.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation of technology architecture that will drive the firm's Technology Roadmap.
• Lead analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Develop road maps of technologies from current state to future state.
• Work closely with the IT leadership and business partners to ensure alignment of plans (including migration plans and road maps) with what is being delivered (projects).
• Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture.
• Drive infrastructure development project teams to fit infrastructure to architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the technical architecture to accommodate infrastructure needs. Identify organizational requirements for resources, structures and cultural changes necessary to support the technology roadmap and architecture process


Skills/ Knowledge
- Deep exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of tools and technologies (.Net, Java, SOA)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
- Excellent analytical and technical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture and the methodologies to accomplish it
- Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes and its practical application
- Ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies and the potential benefits to the business
- Ability to understand the importance of building out ideas into pragmatic, usable form, so that the architecture will be applied every day
- Ability to function at both detail and conceptual levels.

Seven to ten active years of experience in the following IT disciplines (technical architecture, network management, application development, information analysis and data management)
