Location: Danbury, CT

Duration: 2-4 weeks + possible extensions

Rate: Open

Overview

Our client is currently using MS Access database to store Finance and
Payroll information and is seeking an experienced SQL Programmer Analyst to
convert the databases to SQL Server. The consultant will review and analyze
the existing data structure and tables to determine the appropriate tools
and procedures to accomplish the migration. The work will involve pulling
basic tables and user forms from MS Access databases and move these to SQL
Server, as well as automating interfaces from different vendors to load
data via secure FTP rather than manual dumping. Java experience required for
this position; the back end of all the development is SQL, what gets
presented to the user in terms of Menu's and Data is JAVA off Intranet, with
hooks back to the SQL tables.

The assignment will initially be for 2-4 weeks involving one application,
then may be extended longer to convert other applications, depending on the
consultant's performance
