We are starting the fall with two programs in September. On Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 12:15, Terrance Seaman will speak about his recent book To Your Success a motivational guide for anyone in transition. Terrance is a job search and career coach in addition to being an organization development consultant, and he provides leadership and team development services to employers.
He co-founded and co-moderates the St. Matthias Employment Ministry in Somerset, NJ, and will soon have a new book published "Lead the Way" which explores the challenges of leadership. The program will be in the Carl T. Valenti Community Room. Tea and coffee will be served.
Our second program will feature Pauline Johnson, the great grandniece of Harriet Tubman. She will be speaking Sunday, September 9 at 2:00 in the Carl Valenti Community Room followed by a reception in the Henry Guest House at 3:00 p.m. This talk is co-sponsored by Tales and Miles to Go and the Friends of the New Brunswick Library. Pauline Johnson's talk is part of the New Brunswick Public Library's celebration of its Traveling Exhibit entitled: Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War. This exhibit will be at the New Brunswick Library from August 15 until September 28.
We hope to see you at the library to enjoy these programs.

Job Description:
The role of the project manager is to plan, execute and manage projects within the defined scope, cost and schedule. It including identifying and acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of the team members and third-party vendors and consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Resources include people, materials and outside services needed to support the project.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
* Direct and manage project from inception to completion applying the IT Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) methodology (equivalent to SDLC)
* Define project scope and oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.
* Estimate cost and schedule and deliver within the defined IT Project Delivery Performance targets
* Establish project proposals, statement of work, request for proposals documentation
* Timely and accurately updates of project status, cost and forecast information the Resource Program Management (RPM) IT project tool.
* Excellent communication skills with client, management and senior leadership
* Identify, track and resolve project issues using best practice problem-solving techniques
* Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using MS Projects
* Develop weekly and monthly project status reports
* Create, track and close out requisitions and invoices in accordance to IT Supply Chain Management – Procurement practices
* Oversee the requirements definition and testing phases of the project to ensure the delivery of a quality product.
* Delegate and/or escalate tasks and responsibilities to the appropriate individuals at the right time.
Required Skills, Competencies, Education or Experience:
* 3-5 years of project management experience in managing medium (>$5k) to large (>$1M) complex (multiple interfaces and users) projects.
* Experience in managing IT Infrastructure projects, i.e., server, switch and router replacements, network upgrades
* Develop and manage project schedule and milestones using MS Project.
* Manage multiple vendors, create purchase requisitions.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experienced in managing cross-functional project teams and high-visibility projects.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
* Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)

Project Description:
* Manages the implementation and consistent delivery of projects to agreed-upon
timelines, budgets, and expectations of quality
* Works with clients, developers, and vendors to determine requirements
* Creates and manages project budget versus actual expenditures (capital and expense)
* Creates and manages work breakdown structure (WBS) and scheduled project plan
* Manages and supervises project team resources
* Develops critical path analysis for project implementation
* Responsible for business change management (incl. business process redesign,
training, SOPs)
* Manage project scope and timeline through formal change management processes
* Manages project issues and risks through standard issue/risk process
* Communication to stakeholders
* Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with both technical and non-

* Bachelor's degree/technical degree or equivalent requirement
