This is a long term contract role in NYC (Midtown.)
**W2 only, no corp to corp option**
Overall Responsibilities:
Perform Technology Risk Audit (Architecture, Design and Implementation Deep Dive) for critical Corporate Services Technology (Legal & Compliance IT , HR IT and CIO IT) systems
Provide Risk Leadership & Governance: Interpret Business & Security requirements, regulatory requirements, and operational requirements for subject systems and evaluate the effectiveness of technology & process controls in place
Strategic Infrastructure Systems Analysis & Planning: Understand big picture enterprise risk patterns, contribute to strategic planning, and address as initiatives
Strong written and verbal communication skills : Will be required to conduct interviews with Subject Matter Experts as part of Audit field work , review/analyze relevant documentations and frame up findings reports with recommendations in technology as well as business terms
Strong decision making, analytical and creative thinking skills
Ability to work with limited supervision and make independent decisions
Strong organizational, project management, and multi-tasking skills with demonstrated ability to manage expectations and deliver results
Experience
At least 7-10 years of enterprise architecture experience across the breadth of IT domains (end-point, network, server, application, data, identity, storage). Demonstrated the ability to apply that experience nimbly to new computing paradigms
Demonstrated experience with
o System Architecture and Design: availability, performance, scalability, data integrity
o Application security management: user entitlements, authentication, accountability, data protection
o Technology Operations: change management, data backup and retention, performance and capacity management
o Technology governance: technology risk management, policies and procedures, rules, regulations, intellectual property
o Vendor Product Implementation and Vendor Risks
Knowledge of specific technologies include: Deep and Broad Infrastructure understanding related to application hosting, physical and virtual infrastructure data center hosting, Single-Sign On and Federated Single Sign-On Technologies like SAML & OpenID
Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments and prior advisory experience relevant to industry-specific finance and technology functions
Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies
Ability to articulate change implications for any process or system solution to any level in the business organization (from user to senior management)
Ability to perform problem solving in a complex demanding environment by drawing on a pool of technical experience, business understanding and good judgment
Demonstration of a strong understanding of the financial services industry and related lines of business
WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:
Experience/Background
Candidate must have a minimum of 7-10 years of enterprise architect in operational risk management/ compliance technology experience in the banking and finance industry.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BS / BA Required in Business Computer Science .
