Description: SAP BASIS SUPPORT *

Duration: 3 months 

Location: North New Jersey (*candidates must be local to New Jersey)

Employment: Contract

Hours: Weekend, shift work.  Friday - Sunday

Work Location: On-site at the client location in North Jersey

 

***Must have SAP Basis Support Experience (must have experience with at least two full basis support implementations (e.g. 2 or more projects).  Must also have previous Tier 1 Helpdesk Basis support experience.  Experience for SAP ECC Netweaver , Portals, Solution Manager, BW and XI preferred.** *

 

 

Role Summary:

 

SAP Basis Support. First level (Tier 1 Helpdesk) Support role.  Standard Basis support for transports, solution manager, process monitoring, job processing, problem resolution, interface support, daily administration and maintenance and basis system setting/updates for continuous operation.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·         Respond to First Level support tickets (e.g. Help Desk Skills)

·         Provide first level troubleshooting and problem solving for all Basis support tickets

·         Transports – management, execution and troubleshooting.

·         Job Processing – monitoring, execution, scheduling and troubleshooting

·         Apply any required notes or fixes to resolve the problem

·         Update tickets with response and respond to ticket owner with solution.

·         Provide quick turn-around on all tickets per client's desired service level agreements for closing tickets

·       Good Help Desk communication skills and customer responsiveness.  Ability to interact with users experiencing problems and calling into Tier 1 support centers (e.g. helpdesk skills)
