Graduation was in the spring. Summer is almost over. Are you a recent college
graduate still looking for the "right" job? If you are relying on job boards to
find your new career, Jewish Family Service of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren
Counties and JFS of Central Jersey is offering a special Job Search Workshop for
Recent College Graduates. This interactive workshop is designed to sharpen your
job search skills and teach you a whole new way to find a job including
networking, using your social media connections, interviewing skills and resume
critique.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, October 26 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at
Temple Har Shalom, 104 Mt. Horeb Road, Warren, N.J.

The workshop is offered free of charge and is open to the entire community.

Job Description
Louis Dreyfus Commodities, a privately held firm involved primarily in the
international trading and merchandising of agricultural commodities, is looking
for a for Coffee Trader to join our team and assist us in increasing our
presence in the gourmet coffee market. In this role, you will be responsible
for the purchasing and sale of Green Coffee to dealers, roasters and retailers
in the U.S. and Canada . We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including
health /medical coverage, 401K with employer matching, tuition reimbursement and
paid vacation/holidays.
Job Requirements
Required Skills:
• A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a focus on economics or
agriculture economics• Knowledge and understanding of commodity trading,
including a basic understanding of futures and hedging • Ability to analyze
weather, political, and economic impacts on coffee supply and demand• Knowledge
of and interest in coffee quality characteristics• Strong organizational skills•
Proficiency with MS Word/Excel• Strong verbal and written communication skills •
Ability to operate coffee roasters and grinders, preferred• Fluency in Spanish
and/or Portuguese, preferred
Experience Required:
• Experience roasting and cupping coffee, overall quality analysis• Knowledge of
coffee production, processing, and export/import container logistics•
Familiarity with certification programs such as Fair Trade, Organic, RainForest
Alliance, etc., and their importance to gourmet coffee market• Three years
experience in coffee industry, preferably with a strong emphasis in sales or
roasting
