As committed we now have a partial list of employers and events that will take place on 9/15/10 and there should be more to come! The information about the event and the registration process is also included. This is a free event to all, but due to the expected attendance size you need to register in advance.

You can do so by going directly to the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce website :

http://www.dutchesscountyregionalchamber.org/ look for the Work Local First Job Fair and click on "Make Your Reservation" as a non member. Once again this is a free event.

It will be another great opportunity to meet other networkers, listen to some great presentations, and have a chance to connect with new employers. Any questions about the event registration should be addressed to the chamber at 845-454-1700 ext 1000.

We currently have a contract to hire opportunity for a Build Engineer at a major
company in King of Prussia, PA. The Build Engineer position is deeply involved
in the support, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of Software
Engineer-utilized servers, code compilation processes, software release
mechanics, and source code management for our client company's internally
developed Java-based applications. This is a challenging and key role in the
management of applications undergoing regular parallel development. Solid,
outgoing communication skills are necessary for regular interactions with
software engineers, assisting them in branch management, software deployment and
enforcement of company software release standards and practices. Some level of
system administration is intrinsic to the expected duties of the position along
with comfort in navigating and querying databases. Some level of off-hours,
on-call support is expected.

Responsibilities:
Minimum Requirements:

* 1-2 years of source code branch / merging management in CVS or
SVN
* Proficiency in CVS and SVN
* 1-2 years of Unix scripting in Bash, Perl, or Python
* Experience functioning in a Help Desk capacity

Desirable Requirements:

* 1-2 years experience in Maven-based build processes with focus
on analysis of dependency management and versioning
* 1-2 years experience in managing a Maven corporate repository
* 1-2 years experience in Maven repository management tools
(Artifactory, Nexus, ect...)
* Background in Java programming
* Experience in managing Weblogic Application servers
* Experience in WebLogic Scripting Language

Project Management
* Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to
