Senior Project Manager

History of Project: Broadridge implementation has two phases with a potential of third phase in future. First phase is to implement the Primary Dealer business on IMPACT, the fixed income clearance settlement platform of Broadridge. The second phase is to migrate the Equity clearance and settlements business from BETA (current) platform to Broadridge Processing System (BPS). The potential third phase is to migrate the Customer's Branch's Fixed Income clearance and settlement operations to IMPACT from Calypso. These phases also include the decommissioning of Customer's applications Encore/ConsEncore and potential Calypso if third phase was approved and delivered.

Main Project Objectives:

o Support business growth by allowing primary dealer implementation
o Implement IMPACT for Primary Dealer (Treasuries + High Grade Corporate bonds) by Q3 2010
o Migrate clearance and settlement operations for equities and equity derivatives from BETA to BPS by Q2 2011 (+ retirement of Encore/ConsEncore)
o Migrate other Fixed Income business from Calypso to IMPACT (+ retirement of Calypso)

Role to be played by the contractor:
o Senior Project manager for both the Encore Retirement project and the Encore Retirement and Compliance migration project.
o Project manager will manage multiple sub-streams within the Encore retirement work-stream. These include:
o BORDER extract creation and management
o Reconciliations
o Reporting
o Testing support for various scripted and Mock tests
o Implementation to Productio

Project manager will manage the retrofit of various Encore Retirement and Compliance applications because of the implementation of the new clearance and settlement system for equities and equity derivatives. (BETA to Broadridge) These include applications like:

o USCP (Actimize)
o CRSS (Watch List / Restricted List)
o 13F
o SWAT Reports
o Bluesheets
o Other applications as identified
o Assist in the testing and certification of the modified applications
o Testing support for various scripted and Mock tests
o Implement to Production, the modified applications

This is a Senior Project manager role with strong equity and fixed income knowledge as well as strong hands-on project management experience. Prior development background is desired. Strong communication skills, team leadership skills and conflict resolution skills are essential

Skills/Knowledge/Expertise required: Mandatory Project Management Skills:
o Strong project execution skills - Prior history of successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have managed multiple, high-profile projects simultaneously, keeping a strict cost and timeline discipline.
o Ability to multi-task and proactively allocate BA and developer resources to ensure project milestone completion.
o Strong project collaboration skills - Ability to work with disparate stake-holders including developers, business analysts, DBA's, testers and other stream managers.
o Strong Communication skills - Ability to provide crisp status updates (verbal/written) to disparate stake-holders including senior Management, via periodic reports and communications
o Prior experience in a Broker-Dealer Equity clearing/settlement technology environment
o Strong Applications & Systems Development Life Cycle Experience in a distributed, global environment

Desired/Plus Technical Skills:
o Knowledge of SQL and Database structures
o Strong knowledge of Project Management tools (Eg: MS Project)

Business Knowledge Required:
o Strong product knowledge in Equity and Fixed-Income products, how each clears and settles and associated interfaces and dependencies

Services, Deliverables and Schedule (Services to be provided and tasks to be completed): Senior Project manager for the Encore Retirement and Compliance migration project.
o Project manager will assist in the retrofit of various Encore Retirement and Compliance applications because of the implementation of the new clearance and settlement system for equities and equity derivatives. (BETA to Broadridge)
o Primary focus is to lead development effort within DPR for the Encore Retirement and Compliance migration project.

Applications that shall be impacted include:
o USCP (Actimize)
o CRSS (Watch List / Restricted List)
o 13F
o SWAT Reports
o Bluesheets
o Other applications as identified
o Assist in the testing and certification of the modified applications
o Implement to Production, the modified applications

Specific Project deliverables and schedule, including interim due dates:
o Assist in Mock 2 testing and analysis/remediation of issues
o Assist in Mock 3 testing and analysis/remediation of issues
o Assist in UAT and analysis/remediation of issues
o Go Live

o Specify final deliverable / end state condition, i.e. business analysis report, process documentation and implementation, software installation/go-live, etc
o Implement to Production, the applications requiring retrofit for both Compliance as well as the BORDER set of extracts, reconciliations and reports
o Explain how knowledge transfer will be completed and Project summary documentation will be provided by the Supplier so future extensions will not be required.

Existing DPR resources shall work in parallel with Contractor to enable smooth knowledge transfer during the project. This shall be conducted by the project team through variety of documents, demos and involvement in detailed design, development & testing
