Job Description
Contribute expertise and responsible for delivering ecommerce solutionsin conjunction with internal and external stakeholders. Manage the solutionsfrom inception to completion within specified timeframes.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct scoping meetings with clients, complete scope document to ensure systems and products are clearly defined and signed off by the client and product companies.
Develop project plans as agreed for each stage incorporating the methodology used within the Project Management team. Project manage all activities across internal disciplines and geographies as required. Provide guidance to the client with respect to the tasks and their role within the plan.
Where applicable, work in client sites to facilitate the ecommerce implementation process including their subsidiaries.
Coordinate and manage internal and external parties to deliver the solution within the required timeline for the client.
Ensure compliance.
Facilitate issue resolution, testing, training, etc. related to the client implementation
Understanding of technical systems to manage the client's expectations. (SDLC a must)
Attend client meetings to review the project against the plan.
Accountability for end to end process and adequate transition to servicing partners.

Proven experience in Project Management (PMP, Project Management Certification preferred, MS Project or Clarify)BA/BS degree preferred
3 plus years experience in ecommerce

SR. PROJECT MANAGER
Role Profile
The Sr. Project Managerâs primarily role is the management of projects. Management typically involving the development and implementation of projects to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
The Sr. Project Manager will report directly to the Project Management Office and may manage multiple projects. The Sr. Project Manager will drive the project through all of the project lifecycle objectives.
Responsibilities
· Builds on the analysis and recorded experience of similar projects to construct better quality estimates and an appropriate approach to specific aspects of project management.
· Directs and counsels project team members, and advises clients/users as necessary, in the definition, documentation and execution of all Phases of IT projects.
· Leads the project team; allocating and monitoring tasks, motivating staff, and providing individual performance data to resource managers (project staff line managers) for personal appraisals.
· Liaises with other managers within the IT function and within the business; manages expectations for the projects.
· Evaluates and makes recommendations/decisions on technical options as appropriate.
· Makes consistent use of process checklists in all areas of project management to review and improve adherence to best practice.
· Advises resource managers (project staff line managers) on the development, training and appraisal issues for project staff.
· Ensures that project metrics and lessons learned are appropriately documented and communicated for the benefit of other staff and future projects.
· Mentors Project Managers who require to extend the range or depth of their competency.
· On projects which are not completely routine, will be fully capable of the creation or adaptation of a wide range of technical and/or management procedures while still adhering to the principles of good project management practice.
· Will take into account the potential value elsewhere of such new or modified procedures, and ensure their documentation and communication as a standard feature of process improvement.
Skills / Knowledge
· Demonstrates a totally Business-focused approach, aiming at clear and effective communication, the elimination of needless bureaucracy, achievement of Business objectives, and the identification of further Business opportunities.
· Provides leadership in a wide variety of areas and situations.
· Negotiates firmly but sensitively with senior Business and Technologies management, and external partners.
· Communicates fluently and convincingly, both in meetings and discussions as well as through major reports and presentations using appropriate tools and techniques.
· Displays adaptability and flexibility to deal with the non-routine or unexpected situations.
· Practices very sound relationship management with business and external partners, and is fully conversant with key techniques in Project financial management.

COMBINED DINNER MTG â" TUESDAY, November 29th
Your Career Night Out
On Tuesday evening, November 29th, MIS Network Associates (MNA), IT-Networking, the ETP Network, TENG, The Breakfast Club of NJ (TBCNJ), Monmouth Networking, and Careers In Transition (CIT) will host a combined Your Career Night Out dinner meeting for members, alumni, friends, and guests at The Holiday Inn in Totowa, NJ. The Your Career Night Out will include a dialogue with a panel of career/campaigning experts responding to pre-published questions and ad hoc inquiries from the dinner meeting attendees. The panel will include:
- Recruiting Janelle Razzino Razzino Associates
- Coaching Alex Freund Landing Expert
- Career Development Cathy Love Fairleigh Dickinson University
- CFO Marty Latman Networking Leader
- Coaching Diane Young Love Yourself First Experience
The panel will be moderated by Bill Belknap. Bill has thirty years of senior management and human resources experience in a variety of industries. He now runs his own consulting firm specializing in helping managers and executives find jobs at the right level and with the right company and at the right compensation.
He is a certified Five OâClock Club Master Career Coach and the co-author of For Executives Only. Applying Business Techniques to Your Job Search and regularly speaks to networking groups about the âins and outsâ of conducting an effective job search.
Bill is considered an expert on networking and has taught networking to over a thousand managers and executives.
On the personal side, he is an amateur magician and fitness enthusiast; he has completed over 25 Triathlons. He is a graduate of Denison University and is a 20 year resident of Ridgewood, NJ.
Unedited questions for the panel are included below. These questions are subject to editing until Friday, November 25th, when the final list will be published electronically to the previous recipients and be available to the attendees on the night of the event. Please return your comments on the questions to John Sampson at jcsspike@yahoo.com ASAP. The final questions will be available in hard copy at the registration desk the evening of the dinner meeting on November 29th. Again, ad hoc questions will be accepted by the Moderator during the discussion with the panelists and Bill Belknap may have a few questions for the panelists himself.
The schedule for the dinner meeting on November 29th will be:
- 6:00 to 6:45 pm â" Registration, âspeed datingâ, and cash bar
- 6:45 to 7:15 pm -- Introductions
- 7:15 pm -- Dinner
- 8:00 pm -- Panel discussion moderated by Bill Belknap
The informal networking groups are so helpful in networking that we will do the âspeed datingâ again on the 29th before we sit down for dinner and the general introductions. Briefly, these informal âdatesâ consist of up to 4 people and last for 5 to 10 minutes. At the end of the 10 minutes, the groups break up and new ones are formed with different participants. Suggested dialogues for your âspeed datingâ encounters will be provided at the registration desk in case you are at a loss for what to say during these conversations.
There will be an opportunity to circulate up to 50 copies of your resume, personal bio, leads, or other appropriate material in a handout for each participant from the dinner.
The cost will be $45 for everyone if forwarded by mail or other to John Sampson by COB Monday, November 28th at 2 Blackfoot Cir, Wayne NJ 07470. Checks should be made out to John Sampson who can be reached by phone at 973-248-3251 or via email at jcsspike@yahoo.com . Reservations can also be made by contacting Lizanne Fiorentino at adminedg@optonline.net but checks must be sent directly to John.
An initial list of attendees will be emailed to all the RSVPs, members of MNA, the ETP Network, TENG, TBCNJ, Monmouth Ntwkg, IT-Net, CIT and other interested parties the weekend of November 26/27 for initial review and correction. The RSVP list will facilitate networking at the November 29th meeting and can be used to communicate with attendees in advance or after the dinner meeting. For those attendees who are working, current work affiliation, email address, three previous companies youâve worked for/consulted at, professional job interest or position availability must be included in your RSVP.
For those attendees who are in transition, three target companies should be included in your RSVP as well as the type of position you seek.
A âfinalâ numbered RSVP list of attendees will be available along with the pre-published questions and an ID badge at the registration desk on the 29th. Your number on the final RSVP list should be part of your introduction: âIâm number x on the RSVP list â¦â. All attendees should have their sharp, crisp, 30 second elevator speech at the ready. Too many âahs, dees and doesesâ will be cut off unceremoniously. Remember, you and your introduction will be between the rest of the attendees and dinner!
A final RSVP list of the actual attendees will be emailed to everyone who participated by first week in December.
We will accept a LIMITED number of walk-ins on the 29th. Anyone who attends on the 29th and whose check has not been received by COB on the 28th will be charged $60 WITHOUT EXCEPTION. There will be NO refunds and no shows WILL be billed.
Again, bring 50 copies of your bio/resume, leads, or materials you wish to be included in the handout the evening of November 29th.
