Duration – 1+ year – with possibilities of extension

Job Description:

 

The Program Manager is accountable for leading a team of project managers and managing overall compliance and program tracking of an Apollo program. This role is responsible for ensuring that operational policies and processes are consistently applied and executed to optimize quality and on-time performance. The qualified candidate will be able to communicate with our clients and all levels of management; be able to manage multiple projects across the work team; prioritize and organize effectively to make decisions and solve problems.

Complexity

The Program Manager will need have strong leadership and conflict resolution skills. Experience in managing enterprise-wide initiatives. Sensitive to changing business priorities. Able to make decisions in a fast paced environment.

 

Scope/Financial Responsibility

Describe quantifiable measures that will help ascribe the value of the position.  Examples include size of budget, business metrics, etc.  Also, describe the impact on revenue, profit or expenses by stating activities that could affect financial results of Wyndham

         Approved program/project budgets centrally maintained

         Availability of financial  (spend and business return) & schedule metrics

         Accuracy of financial & schedule metrics

         Timely communication of Program status

         Availability of Program health statistics

 

Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills

·         Must have the ability to prioritize and effectively delegate in a high-pressure environment.

·         Resourceful and excellent organizational skills

·         Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and communication skills.

·         Strong time management skills, ability to work within deadlines.

·         Clarity experience or equivalent PPM tools. Working knowledge of SharePoint, MS Excel.

·         Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

 

Experience/Certificates/Education

·         Familiar with a variety of project management methodologies, concepts, practices, and procedures is a must.

·         Require 5 – 10 years of experience in the field of program management or related IT discipline, and team leadership experience.  

·         Proficient in use of project management scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Clarity Open Workbench.

·         Familiar with critical path analysis and portfolio dependencies.

·         Working knowledge in a technical environment.

·         Working knowledge of corporate financials and budgeting.

·         Comfortable with project metrics and reporting.
