Job Description

* Responsible for requirements elicitation, documentation, decomposition and design for hardware, software and computer systems
* Perform day-to-day implementation of the requirements process

* Decompose high-level hardware, software and system functional requirements

* Ensure all Requirements are uploaded and managed in the Requirements Management System
* Ensure that assigned projects have a clear, defined, precise, and testable requirements baseline
* Manage Changes to baseline and communicate approved changes to stakeholders
* Support cost and LOE estimation efforts, as needed

* Review and validate engineering work products, such as Technical Solution Documents (TSD), Database Design Documents, Architecture Documents etc. to ensure that development teams have a comprehensive interpretation of system requirements
* Review and validate test management work products, such as Test Plan, Test Cases, and Test Results to ensure that development and testing teams have a correct interpretation of system requirements
* Assist in gathering data to help make decisions to continuously improve collective requirements management practices

Qualifications

* 4 year college degree in a relevant concentration of study
* Preferably 10 or more years professional work experience in a requirements analysis and / or systems oriented role
* Has worked in projects involving public-facing, large user-base websites
* Strong professional writing skills with experience in writing clear and effective requirements documents
* Strong interpersonal skills w/the ability to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information
* Strong group facilitation and requirements elicitation skills
* Experience in managing multiple priorities and deadlines for multiple projects within a program.
* Ability to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say
* Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
* Comfortable leading requirements gathering workshops
* Ability to model requirements to represent information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language as well as graphical modeling languages
* Familiarity with tools such as Visio, Excel, Requirements Management Systems (e.g. HP ALM or / DOORS or Rational or Caliber etc.)

Highly desire: Familiarity with HP Quality Center / ALM tools for Requirements Management

As Business Analyst, you will be responsible for gaining an understanding of our client's business needs and using the Flexcube platform to develop functional solutions. Responsibilities:

Act as the primary contact for Flexcube stakeholders and act as a liaison with other members of the implementation team on integration with Financial Systems. Responsible for gathering and writing functional requirements relating to Financial systems integration.

Responsible for developing system specifications and requirements for programming requests.

Work with upstream and downstream application teams on data requirements, solution design, and issue resolution. Document requirements utilizing use cases and data flow diagrams.

Work with project teams on data migration strategies. Assist with the assessment of data usage and the data mapping.

Assist project staff in the configuration of system and business parameters. This could include the maintenance of static parameters, chart of accounts, account definitions, etc.

Assist the Testing staff by explaining functionality in their development of test use cases and scripts. During testing, you will assist in defect analysis by validating conformance to requirements. Occasional onsite QA users support during SIT, UAT, and PVT phases.

One of my clients in NYC is looking for a Senior Business Analyst with Reporting experience.
• Establishing a consolidated global data warehouse
• Standardizing risk definitions and utilization
• Automating and normalizing data from source systems
• Enriching data with ownership and reference data
• Creating summary and transaction-level reporting templates
• Developing client analytical models by tuning reporting attributes
• Delivering consolidated web-based reporting platform

Face-off with Operations Line managers as a member of the central Performance Measurement & Analysis team.
•Review existing business intelligence capabilities and look to enhance process by centralizing reporting leveraging tactical and new strategic solutions
•Assist where necessary to ensure rapid development of the tactical Balance Sheet Exposure Report levering existing processes and platforms
•Review and enhance global Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) and tailor to meet the needs of regional managers and systems

Must Haves:

Must have around 5-10 years of experience
Product Knowledge- operational
Strong Communication Skills
Strong Presentation Skills
Financial Background a must
