Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to be involved in planning,
designing, development and implementation of mission critical business
systems/ processes and organizational functions that are required to be
operational 7x24 to support core functional areas of Marketing, Development
and Commercial Operations (MD&CO).
Key responsibilities:
. Day to day activities effecting critical software applications,
including 4th generation languages, databases, EDI, web development, and
SCADA operations; development of strategies to improve existing systems.
. Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the business processes,
systems, and applications;
. Recommend solutions for FERC/NAESB/user mandated business
processes, systems, and applications from business specifications and
integrate implementation with existing business computer applications.
. Leverage critical business processes, systems, applications, and
level of support to permit the MD&CO department to meet its corporate and
regulatory goals and objectives while ensuring that service level commitment
between the Informational Technology department and MD&CO is met. This
includes investigating, recommending and utilizing software development
tools and packages.
Knowledge, Education and Experience:
. B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or related degree
. Expert in systems analysis, design, and development techniques.
. 3 - 8 years of experience in client-server applications
development, developing and interpreting business and user requirements into
effective and efficient specifications, business processes, systems, and
applications as well as designing and developing web objects
. Solutions will involve the following disciplines:
- Compliance systems,
- CitectSCADA,
- Client-server development and support,
- Object-oriented design and development (PowerBuilder Suite;
PowerBuilder Foundation Classes that are being replaced with OOP, PHP),
- Database design, development and operations, Microsoft Relational
Database Technologies (SQL Server; ANSI Standard SQL)
- Electronic Data Interchange Concepts (QualEDI),
- Web Development Concepts, Environments, Software and Languages (HTML,
CSS,OOP, PHP, JSON, Zend Framework, JavaScript Frameworks {Ext JS, J
