Monday, October 22, 7-9pm: TCN/Temple Community Network Meeting
.
The traditional jobs marketplace continues to be stagnant for many, and more people than ever are expressing interest in business ownership. A bellwether book on franchising describes the 1% vs. 99%. Translated, only a small number of people ever decide to take the plunge, despite the fact that 70% of Americans would ideally like to own their own business.
TCN's October 22nd meeting will feature FranNet consultant Frank Dunne and two "franchising friends" with a discussion about business/franchise ownership entitled:
"CAREER ALTERNATIVES IN BUSINESS OWNERSHIP -- IS FRANCHISING RIGHT FOR YOU?"
Frank will lead an interactive session focusing on key areas of business ownership and franchising. Appearing with Frank will be two franchise owners: one who serves as an Area Developer for Sports Clips haircutters and another being the Area Developer for Cell Phone Repair. Both are "converts" from the corporate/executive world, and will surely have an interesting "real-world" perspective on this different type of opportunity.
Among the topics that will be discussed are the decision making process of getting into business, the importance of leveraging systems, managing risks and assessing rewards, a "day-in-the-life", how business/personal goals are being reached, and anything else you'd like to know about these new business possibilities. Of course, there will be ample time for open-ended questions.
