Description / Responsibilities
Detailed knowledge of Oracle/ExaData/RAC, Sybase ASE, MS SQL Svr/Rep Svr, shall work in concert with core engineering team, to develop IT standards for delivering end-2-end automation covering
Middleware Installation and configuration
Application pre-configuration and deployment
Tuning and Optimization
Individual will work with latest software automation tools to incrementally and continuously improve the efficiency of the workflow, build and deployment processes. Will work closely with analysts, developers, engineering, quality assurance, and production support team members to align projects and orchestrate all application towards an updated consistent enterprise Client state architecture and deployment methodology.
Requirements
10+ years experience designing Infrastructure for Oracle, Sybase or MS SQL Svr and layering Apps to leverage infrastructure patterns.
Strong Architecture experience
Strong command of SQL and Replication Services, SQL scripting abilities on Linux and Windows
Familiarity with Cloud Computing techniques and DBaaS solution offerings
Familiarity with Management and Monitoring tools OEM/OID, Netcool, SCOM
Skills
Excellent communication & documentation skills
Solid interpersonal/communication skills
Self directed and demonstrates ownership of solution, issues, execution and follow through
Vendor software certification ideal.
