This experience is relevant to one of my current openings, which is detailed below. The position is located in New York, NY. This is a FULL TIME Position. My Client is currently accepting U.S. Citizens, EADs and Green Card Holders.

Compensation: Up to $155,000 (Base)

Flexibility to travel to client sites within the US or Canada as needed and upon short-notice (travel requirement of 80%).
 
Our client, a leading software vendor to the brokerage community, is looking for multiple high caliber Front Office Senior Business Analysts/ Consultant to implement and support their software at asset managers, fund managers, banks, insurance and pension plans across the US and Canada. You will be working across client organization and with portfolio managers, traders and compliance officers.

The consultant will be responsible for all aspect of the implementation process, with primary focus on the front office functions of order management, trade management, and trade compliance. Knowledge of back-office functions, such as position keeping, fund administration, settlement, accounting, performance measurement, and risk management will aid this individual, as the software is an end to end application from front, middle and back office.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Participate in all aspects of the Software implementation and support of the Front Office module , including business analysis, system design and configuration, data conversion, integration, testing and training.
  • Participate in one or more business-related workstreams in the implementation project, identifying all required tasks, dependencies, and time/resource estimates and providing to Project Manager for inclusion in the overall project plan, as well as providing regular status updates.
  • Lead requirements gathering workshops at new or existing clients in business-related areas, such order, trade management and trade compliance
  • Design and deliver an overall solution set to meet client requirements, modelling front office workflows, customizing and delivering standard configuration solutions, and developing and delivering new solutions.
  • Assist the client in developing an overall test strategy and test plans and support the client in the execution of test cases, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Provide configuration and end-user training
Required Experience
  • years experience working on front office software implementation projects in the financial industry
  • Consultants will have a number of years of experience in one of the following fields:
    • Asset Management Order Management, Trade Management, Compliance
    • Consulting or Professional Services within the Asset Management sector
    • An implementation role for a software vendor specialising in Asset Management software
    • Consultants will also have a proven track record and be able to demonstrate:
      • An interest in the Finance industry, possess the capacity to learn more through a combination of internal training and on-the-job experience.
      • Strong project management skills
      • Interest and enthusiasm to use and learn new software packages.
      • Detailed knowledge of two or more of the following areas:
        • Fixed income products
        • Equity-based products
        • OTC derivatives
        • Portfolio management and decision making tools in the front office
        • Compliance
        • SQL, XML, and/or ETL tools
        • Relational databases
        • Crystal Reports
        • Knowledge of data providers' & competitors proprietary software
