DUTIES >> The Manager for Internal Communications owns and manages
communications channels and coordinates dissemination of information within the
organization. Implements effective communications practices and standards for
internal communications that are consistent with policies and procedures and
applies best practices in electronic communications and social media.
SKILLS >> • Manage internal communications channels, including Intranet,
internal newsletter, plasma screens, online message board, electronic sign and
mass mail tool.
• Responsible for ensuring all information on internal channels and
external website is accurate and current.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure regular updates of functional
Intranet pages.
• Maintain fresh content on external Pharma US website, collaborating with
internal stakeholders and IT partners.
• Must understand legal and regulatory requirements of internal channels
and external website and manage properties in strict accordance with internal
and external guidelines and SOPs.
• Partner with IT to manage technical and branding updates to Intranet and
US Pharma Internet site.
• Coordinate technical aspects of and communications supporting Town Hall

online and social media expertise.
• Ensure consistency and clarity of content, as well as graphic look and
functionality of vehicles, to effectively communicate with and engage Client
audiences
• Meet deadlines, being flexible to accommodate global time lines and
external factors.
• Coordinate multiple tactics simultaneously, interacting with local and
global colleagues, freelancers and agency personnel, IT partners, and in-house
graphics/printing support to execute communications plans.
• Build relationships and partner/negotiate cross-functionally

I have been retained by a client in the packaging industry in the Northeast
(Massachusetts) that is seeking to hire a Vice President, Supply Chain and
wanted to take this opportunity to network with you on this very exciting
opportunity.
Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Supply Chain will be the
most senior supply chain executive and will have responsibility for
sourcing, purchasing, customer service, corporate projects, order
processing, warehousing and delivery. This person will oversee the supply
chain budget and operating performance, along with key service, quality and
cost metrics and focus on continuous improvement programs.
Key supply chain functions include:
Sourcing: This person will be responsible for maintaining strong, working
relationships with all suppliers and third-party transportation companies.
Logistics: He/She will oversee inventory management, including forecasting,
replenishment, production scheduling and warehousing. This person will be
responsible for timely and accurate shipping to all customers and managing
transportation employees and third-party providers.
Customer Service: He/She will oversee the Customer Service department,
which handles customer order processing, customer relations, and contract
and rebate administration.
Quality: This person will manage quality across the full product line and
all new product development. He/She will ensure that the company is current
in all certifications.
My client is seeking someone who has led supply chain (functions listed
above) across a multi-plant network, and should be experienced in paper
converting or another light manufacturing industry. He/She should be highly
"process-driven" and understand general best practices in similar
environments and have worked in a diverse, high-volume product environment.
The right candidate will have demonstrated the ability to continuously
improve a supply chain and manage complex customer needs. The successful
candidate will have successfully managed logistics throughout North America,
preferably including North/South transportation.
This role will require someone who is a leader and mentor capable of
building, managing and developing an outstanding performance-oriented team.
Strong communications skills, drive, energy level, and problem-solving
abilities will be critical for the success of this individual. The ability
to work across all disciplines and throughout all levels of the organization
in a persuasive and credible manner is a must. He/she will have the ability
to work effectively with other executives in a team environment toward
common goals and objectives. This includes having a track record of
building a strong, collaborative working relationship with manufacturing, as
well as interacting with areas outside of supply chain such as marketing,
product development and finance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Applied Science/ Mathematics or related
field
Advanced degree and knowledge of six sigma and lean concepts
Minimum of 15 years of broad-based supply chain experience

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President of Global Operations, the Director of Supply
Chain will lead the continuous improvement and operation of the global
supply chain function within the Performance Materials Group. This
individual will provide both the strategic direction and daily tactical
support for the procurement activity of all locations (Green Island, NY;
Rochester, NH; Melrand, France and Herleen, Netherlands) and indirectly for
the standardization of all other material processes to ensure the supply
chain is fully optimized to generate lowest total cost supply, optimal
inventory levels and the leanest level of working capital usage.
He/She will be capable of quickly building credibility within the group by
incrementally implementing visible improvements and best of class supply
chain & purchasing processes in response to business challenges. This
position requires a talented individual with the ability and vision to
propel the current infrastructure and team to the next level of
accomplishment.
Responsibilities:
* Develop breadth and quality of supplier base for all procured
items while maximizing efficiencies in the supply chain and ensuring optimal
utilization of supplier capabilities. Identify new vendors and work with
existing vendors that will utilize techniques to minimize inventory levels
and improve capacity. Streamline and implement best of class business
practices including Lean, JIT, and Kanban into the materials acquisition
function.
* Negotiate with suppliers to minimize costs for raw materials,
transportation, MRO, services and capital items for the entire Performance
Materials group.
* Develop, maintain and improve Key Process Indicators (KPI's) for
materials and supply chain management processes to track performance and to
identify and implement improvements through DMAIC methodology.
* Develop, maintain and enhance material flow plan (based upon Lean
Manufacturing principles) that ensures optimum inventory levels with
controls that immediately identify "out-of-control" conditions and inventory
inaccuracies. Utilize self-managed replenishment systems or Kanban's where
appropriate.
* Develop strategic partnerships and alliances with key vendors,
suppliers and customers. Design, develop and implement a supplier
certification program.
* Drive effective utilization of the ERP (Oracle) system into the
supply chain and procurement function worldwide, including order management,
materials processing, vendor management and long term planning.
* Implement a standardized approach across all Performance Material
locations for effective line planning & scheduling systems that ensures
effective communication to manufacturing lines to drive on-time-delivery
(OTD) performance.
* Design and implement a capital acquisition and energy service
roadmap to be rolled out across all locations. Participate in the
selection, contract negotiation, and purchasing of manufacturing and
technology products and services. Assist in developing strategic plans
that will encompass the future objectives of the company including: Planning
& forecasting systems and enterprise wide procurement efforts.
* Oversee the development and training of all associates involved
with the Materials function in all locations.
Qualifications:
Our candidate of choice will be a passionate and energetic individual, well
respected in their current role with an expert understanding of lean
manufacturing and ERP system utilization as they relate to procurement &
supply chain processes. This professional will be described as highly
resourceful and results driven. He/she must be able to confidently and
convincingly communicate business and technical knowledge with poise and
maturity in an international multicultural environment.
Specific qualifications include:
* Highly regarded, technically oriented supply chain professional
possessing minimum of 5-10 years progressive experience in materials
planning/scheduling, purchasing, warehouse/logistics capacity within a
manufacturing (fiber or chemical industry desired) setting. Minimum of 2
years leadership experience in a company utilizing MRP, EDI and other best
practice inventory and purchasing methodologies.
* Experience implementing enterprise planning and forecasting
systems (Oracle preferred) in a manufacturing and distribution environment.
Must be able to clearly communicate and convey the procurement benefits to
the organization.
* LSS Green Belt Certification (Black Belt desirable) OR equivalent

Job Title: Senior BI Developer
Location: Norwalk, CT with occasional travel (10%) to NJ
Salary: $80-100K + bonus
Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior BI Developer whose primary focus is to
develop, maintain, and support the technologies and processes used to
Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data from SAP to the BI system (Envision)
for reporting and analytical purposes.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Serve as the company's ETL expert performing technical
development, maintenance, tuning, and support activities.
· Work closely with Business Analyst and Shared Services Technical
Leads in defining technical specifications and designs for Oracle based
large data warehouse environment and SAP source system.
· Create the ETL technical specification based on business
requirements; manage, develop and test new or updated ETL designs and
code/scripts based on the ETL designs. Create unit testing scripts and
representative unit testing data; ensure testing data is available for unit
and acceptance testing within development and QA environments
· Unit test ETL code/scripts to ensure correctness of functionality
and compliance with business requirements
· Refine ETL code/scripts as needed to enable migration of new code
from development to QA and QA to production environments following the
standard migration signoff procedure
· Coordinate any required Unix/Tivoli related scripts in support of
the ETL deployment working with the ETL Admin
· Work with the team Manager and Business Analysts of the team to
understand, prioritize and resolve assigned trouble tickets and support
requests
· Perform problem assessment, resolution and documentation, and,
performance and quality validation on new and existing BI environments
Skills and Qualifications:
§ Minimum education: BS is required; Graduate degree is preferred.
§ 5 - 10 Years Overall IT Experience
§ 5-6 years of ETL Architect Design skills for large applications,
advanced programming, tuning and administration.
§ 5-6 years of strong and working knowledge of current Informatica
ETL tool required.
§ Working knowledge and high experience navigating SAP and
troubleshooting SAP/data warehouse issues required.
§ 5-6 years of current Oracle version and PL/SQL.
§ 5-6 years of database performance tuning for OLAP solutions with
Oracle preferred.
§ Strong and working knowledge of Unix and Tivoli tool required
§ Expertise in data warehousing concepts such as star schema,
transformation and loading processes. Strong Schema Modeling and excellent
SQL Skills.
§ Knowledge of Microstrategy reporting tool
§ Ability to quickly learn and understand critical data/information
needs in the business.
§ Ability to investigate data and discover patterns.
§ Experience in advanced analytics is preferred, e.g. simple data
aggregation, statistical analysis, complex data mining, etc.
§ Ability to conduct technical data validation between data
warehouse and source system(s).
§ Strong business functional knowledge (e.g. Sales, Marketing,
Finance, Supply Chain, etc.).
§ Strong ability to work with business analysts on creating
technical designs and specifications based on Oracle based large scale BI
environment and SAP source system
§ Ability to gather reporting technical requirements and conduct
necessary analysis to determine required BI technical work.
§ Ability to be an ongoing advocate to drive BI standardization,
adoption, and acceptance.
§ Ability to communicate and/or influence at the Manager/Director
level.
