Accountable for complying with the Company's overall data, including architecture, integrity, quality and accessibility. Provides technical leadership for all data modeling and data management aspects for individual projects and the business as a whole
Assignment Description:
-Logical Data Modeling and Physical Data Modeling for Oracle dbs using Erwin -Modeling using both normalized design and star schema / snowflake schema design -Analysis of Source system screens and derivation of Reporting wire frames. -Work with business and technical analysts to create relevant subject areas and views of a large data model (Gencord DSS) to help them in their analysis tasks. - Make modifications/enhancements to existing large data model (Gencord DSS) to transform it into the new Align DSS. -Make modifications to other smaller DSS models (MATRIX, MCCDSS, Govt Rptng, Vioxx Repository) -Create data dictionary documenting all entities and attributes of the data models. - Help dba and technical analysts with determination of appropriate indexing, partitioning etc. -Create documentation on the model/database including appropriate join strategies etc for use by etl and report developers. -Aid Cognos developers with design of Cognos models
